Maybe let your dad handle the day to day for a while, and at least try to pass your exams... if he needs you, he can ask. Sorry you're having to go through this, but hopefully it will all work out. And don't feel guilty about anything... you are an awesome daughter. I agree. @clochette you have to recharge your batteries or you will burn out. At least your dad now knows when your mum needs to be at the hospital, and hopefully they'll be able to help her. Enjoy your week at home (in spite of exams) and relax doing things you like. Then you'll be able to visit your parents with new energy, and surely that's better for everyone. Edited May 1, 2019 by Timothy M. 9

You need to attend to those without guilt. You also need that alone time to recharge so you're better able to help when you return. Mum says until you've had to do it you can't understand how taxing it is caring for an ill loved one. She had to with my stepdad. 8

And hello to the kids! *waves* I have a recipe for an Elotes salad. It's based off of Mexican street corn, with chili powder, lime juice, mayo, and Cotija cheese. I think I'll make that for dinner tomorrow, thanks for reminding me! I'm sure Jordan and Ash are rambunctious enough to make up for it. You're welcome...sounds delicious...They are and so are the others, too... 4 1

Marty Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 (edited) Just thinking for future years... Are the trees too large for you to consider covering them with protective fleece to protect against frost damage?? http://www.haxnicksusa.com/fruit-tree-covers Edited May 1, 2019 by Marty Removing another of my inevitable typos. 5
