Be sure to wear your glasses today. It's National Eyewear Day. 

It's National Garden Exercise Day so get out there and weed that Garden. 

The snack for the day is Applesauce Cake.

Today is a day for the whole world to recognize, in my humble opinion.

 

Canada was part of D-Day storming the beaches of Normandy. I understand that the Canadians suffered the most out of all nations compared to the amount that country's soldiers landed, but they also pushed the furthest inland into France that day in helping defeat the Nazis. We weren't the biggest there, but we did our share. 

I had a great Uncle that was part of that day. I am so proud of every nations soldiers that did participate on that day doing what everyone thought was impossible. It was nice to know so many nations came together at once to say, "Enough"

@wildone, That's way I didn't include the word national. I too see it as world event.

Today is World Caring Day.

Today is Daniel Boone Day. I don't live too far from his birthplace in Pennsylvania. 

Oklahoma will be bringing us Donuts and Chocolate Ice Cream today.

Alright everyone, behave yourselves today, it's Children's Day today. 

Let's hear it for Earl. It's Earl Day. 

We're celebrating Donald Duck today. It was 90 years ago today that he made his first appearance. Instead of cake, we're having Strawberry Rhubarb Pie.

I kinda figured Daffy would make an appearance to the party.

It's mainly a food and drink day. It's Ball Point Pen Day, but don't eat it.

It's National Herb and Spice Day. 

We'll be snacking on Frosted Cookies. We'll also have Egg Rolls and Black Cows to snack on. All can be washed down with Iced Tea.
