Well, I think we know what the Easter Bunny will be doing later since it's 420 Day. 

It's Volunteer Recognition Day. As a result, we'll be having Cheese Fries and Pineapple Upside Down Cake.

April 21st honors National Yellow Bat Day. On this day in 1967, the Army activated the 265th Army Security Agency Company (Airborne) with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. 

North Americans consider roughly 50% of an animal inedible. This leaves a lot of leftover material that ends up as food waste. On National Rendering Day, we learn about how we can eliminate this waste, what rendering means, and why using the rendering process is the smart choice.

Today is National Kindergarten Day. We'll celebrate by snacking on Chocolate-Covered Cashews.

Ahem, I know here is Canadia that almost every slaughter house, butcher shop, supermarket and anyone else dealing with meat (beef, chicken, goat, pork, fish, etc.) sells their waste to the renderers. There is money in all those guts  Rather than pay a dump to dispose, you get paid to save it for them. 

Also, all the deep fryer fat is picked up by renderers rather than restaurants and food processors rather than having to pay an certified company to pick it up and get charged for it.

I've known a few people over the years that have worked at the renderers. Not to be confused with reindeer. Those people are mostly gone now   Right @Valkyrie

Now that the cookie sales are over, today is National Girl Scout Leader's Day. 

We'll observe National Earth Day by snacking on Jelly Beans today.
