National Decency Day on May 14 celebrates the basic standard of civility that every Person deserves. DECENCY is a non-partisan grassroots movement launched to inspire decency in everyday life - in both conversations and actions. (Changed one word to make it a World day.) 

If you work Third Shift, then it's a day/night for you. 

It's National Underground Americas Day so Dance Like a Chicken.  

We'll be snacking on Buttermilk Biscuits today.

Today is a good day to relax. For lunch we'll have Coquilles Saint Jacques is a classic French dish of scallops in a creamy wine sauce, covered with breadcrumbs, and cheese, before it is browned, placed under a broiler. Cooks usually make this seafood scallop dish with a mixture of butter, cream, mushrooms, and their favorite cheese.

After lunch, we'll head for the Royal Media Room, with our Mimosa's, where we'll spend the afternoon watching Classic Movies. 

After the movies, it's time for a Barbecue.

On May 17th, National Idaho Day recognizes the 43rd state to join the United States union on July 3, 1890. 

We'll snack on Walnuts and Cherry Cobbler for National Graduation Day. 

It's also National Learn To Swim Day.

The college I attended in the early 1970s had a requirement that no one could graduate without learning enough about swimming to at least be able to swim across an Olympic size swimming pool.  One girl dropped out of school rather than fulfill that requirement.  IMHO (In My Humble Opinion), all physically capable persons would do well to know how to swim or at least float.
