And yet we know nothing about him. Like when is his birthday? What's his favorite color? Boxers or briefs? Why does he allow me continued access to this site?

I've done a few interviews with Myr, but this is the most recent/the only complete one left in existence in the last 5-6 years.

I also fall into Xennial (along with my hubby who is a '77). It's a weird switch. I remember learning to type on a typewriter, formatted floppy disks and aligned paper reams to the dot matrix, had AOL and Myspace on our *gasp* home computer I bought at 20, flip phones and slides before the first smartphones came out... I'm infinitely more adaptable to technology than my hubby, but also far more likely to just sit and read quietly. He does so love to be chatting with friends on his phone, playing angry birds on his ipad, and watching YouTube videos on the TV because he's always "bored" at home. :P

Did you have that loaded in your back pocket just waiting for an idiot to ask about you? :)

nah, just digitally proficient and know my site fairly well.

I forgot that you wrote a Harry Potter story. I remember liking it a lot, though I am not a Harry Potter fan. Are you ever going to get around to finishing that?

I have been working on it.  I'm just not releasing it until everything is complete. That way I don't write myself into any more corners.  There are 4 chapters written that are not posted.  For example.

And this sentence sums up why I have a slight crush on your wizardness... :)

This is good nose...I have actually read this story two or three times.

If you were in SF, I'd host you at my restaurant. Though you'd have to give me your autograph to hang on the wall. A small price for the best wings you'll ever eat!

Apropos of nothing, we drove past a place called Talleres MYR (MYR workshops) this pm in A Coruña, NW Spain. I nearly crashed the car!! @Myr is everywhere!

On the topic of things called @Myr, I'd like to submit this species from Magic: the Gathering.

I think because I was born closer to the tail end of that generation, I find myself most at ease with everyone born in that timeframe... more than others my age and younger. They are more than a bridge to me, they are beacons and guides that I admire. More often than not, they are not quick to judge, and they treat mistakes like learning opportunities rather than a chance to shame. The ones I've interacted with (both in person and online) are incredibly independent and value vacation time, as the video suggests, to disconnect. It's disheartening to imagine that they feel lonely due to the advancements other generations weren't forced to learn halfway into their lifespans, but the way things are going with AI, it's only a matter of time before my own generation gets a taste of that. 😅

I so feel this.

That was so true and weird. It's the generation who understands the relationship between cassette tapes and pens and the same generation who can debug and write codes without AI until the analog devices function with words.

I see us as developer compared to the millennial generation of just users and I love it to surprise the older generation with knowing how analog things work, while helping teenagers troubleshooting their programs that AI messed up or even joining the kids playing Minecraft while playing chess with the grandpa. @Myr Thanks for sharing and reminding us almost old people how cool we are.

@Jason Rimbaud does Myr really exist?

Back in the first time I joined GA ( before 2010) I thought of Myr as this peaceful geek Admin with several monitors and keyboards. Peaceful not because I knew him but just because for me Myr is Мир which means peace, which is pretty common in boys names not to be mixed with the Russian "mir" meaning world....so yeah now I'm just thinking Myr is a hologram or something.

But if you like being called "sir" because you are that old.... I can do it. Though I'm not sure it even applies to demons. 🤔

I don’t think you should call Myr a demon.  He’s a wizard, not the same thing. 😜

I meant you. I said I think Myr is too much of a geek and he didn't ask to be called sir. 😅

Number one, I demanded he call me sir. He hasn't fulfilled that demand as of yet, but the year is still early.

Number two, Me? A demon? Well, I never...where are Krista's pearls when I need them?  :)

@Myr what is demanded is out of my responsibility. But he's demanding...

Yep. You are a cool demon to me. Prove otherwise or remain a demon of your choice.

It's funny that you ask that. You're someone I've learned (and continue) to learn from in terms of writing. 🤔So, add Sultry Sensei to the list.

Thank you. But that goes away from the little pity party I was trying to organize for myself. :P

Pity party? But all of those titles were epic to me. 😂 It's all about perspective, I guess.

I was doing an entire motif across the site today. :)

Oh well, my heart isn't really into playing the victim anyway.

I understand the need for a little drama. The world would be too boring without it.

:).  I believe the people who run this site probably prefer less drama than most. :)

@CassieQ believes I am chaos incarnate

@Kileoli believes I am a demon

If I get three more, I win the door prize.

I'll be serious for a moment, sorry about that. I get why when I'm the new person in a group where everyone what knows each other, although a lot less so online than in person.

I felt like that on GA when I moved from only commenting on stories to posting on the forums, which has since completely oassed. But something about your personality made you the first person here that made me feel comfortable without second guessing a lot of what I said.
