Yes the mother has serious issues, but ultimately she is a mother (a very very misguided one!) That therapist however has no excuse whatsoever. People who you trust with your innermost being that then betray that trust deserve the most severe punishment possible.

Interesting perspective. Fathers reaction was so predictable. Not the same if it had been his daughter! Weirdly if Deidre had been honest, it may have been an entirely different experience and in fact better for both. Sadly she was a little too selfish for that. Great to see you back!

I have the same problem, and apart from my passport and my birth certificate, thrre is no record... or not much of one! Weirdly when I had a son, he got it too (as did my father, his father etc...) sad really!

Well, Mr Rigby Taylor you certainly manage to shock! While I should be used to the spontaneous deaths that occur in your stories, this one did take me by surprise! I loved the way you captured so many mid teen boys desperation to break from the perceived humdrum of their life into the amazing grass-is-greener alternative life they have seen or heard about. The strange thing is how many, in real life, then settle back into the humdrum they had previously left.... your stories show they don't need to (and I'd suspect, in both our cases, didn't!) Welcome back, good to read you again!

The police will be good in their way, however the twisted individuals who do this sort of thing are not caught by evidence and police work, they are caught by investigators who know things well enough to find the smallest of inconsistencies... I wish drew all the best. He is up against some real nasties.....

PS I disagree with your characters contention that Cellini's Perseus is the most perfect male bronze. There are two I would put ahead of it. The Charioteer at Delphi and Poseidon or Zeus at the acropolis museum in Athens. The latter has every muscle you could wish for and a great arse. The former is the image of tranquil strength. My attraction to those two statues is that I have none of those attributes!

Great to have you back, or probably more accurately, your writing back. Good to see you havent gone all soft and civilised on us in the break! It would be a little mind blowing to produce children that advanced, and poor Esther, after that upbringing, to produce a child like that, its not surprising she was a little off... Good to see civilisation triumph the way it usually does...a way that will result, inevitably, in the end of that civilisation. Great to read your writing again. Thanks

I am enjoying this, however, without a defined plot and each letter dependent on the last for continuity, it sometimes makes it difficult to follow. I find myself having to reread prev letters to make sense of the current one. The bloke locking up he ran into...intriguing or a red herring? Do they actually get to meet? Or am I following this until I/you/the characters die? Given I am older than the latter three, i feel that is the most likely! Thanks.

Revenge by outing someone, no matter how nasty, by filming them having sexy where consent was obtained by deception...I have a problem with that. I am all for Scott being held to account for his lengthy list of crimes and misdemeanors, but this is not the way to go about it. Really lowering yourself to his base level. Justice feels good, out and out revenge is just trouble.
