It took a bullet for Troy to realize his true feelings for Jayden. Thank God Jaden's going to be fine. And I totally agree with Troy -- I'm GLAD that SOB douchebag Anthony is dead! Good for Wallace!!! I hope he doesn't get into trouble for it, though. Personally, I think Troy's father was a bit indifferent about the whole Anthony-being-dead thing. If I were Troy's mom, I'd be THRILLED that dirtbag is dead and gone! After what he did to Troy, why on earth would his father be upset with him for being glad he's dead? Anyway...one more chapter to go!! I really loved visiting this story again, Ron, thank you.

Well, eventually Jackson wanted Ally to know, but he wanted to tell her himself. Now the cat's out of the bag. And really, Jackson didn't know there were cameras around the pool area? How embarrassing! lol Toby's birth-giver sounds like a prize. I hope she doesn't try to waltz right back into Toby's life now. She must want something from him. As usual, Krista, you leave me wanting more!

What an emotional chapter! Well, besides the bathroom shaving scene. And just like @jaysalmn said, Jayden seems like he's the only one who doesn't take Troy's hand and lead him wherever Troy needs to go. He lets Troy do it himself. It was such a great idea to have Troy pretty much shave himself with Jayden's help. Troy needs to feel like he can be independent. He's feeling like he's going to be big burden on everyone. He feels that his life is over -- no high school graduation, no college, no career...he doesn't realize he can still achieve all that -- he just needs to want to. At the beginning of the chapter, all I wanted to do was hug Troy. The poor kid has been through so much, and I think anyone going through the same thing would ask 'Why me?'

@JeffreyLThat's EXACTLY what I was going to say! Don't the police HAVE TO TELL Jayden and the Neals that Jayden's psycho cousins are out on bail? And I ditto everyone who said their justice system sucks! How the hell can they be out on bail? Obviously, it wasn't set high enough. They should have never gotten out. @droughtquake I can see what you mean about Jayden's aunt. She enabled her sons to do whatever they wanted as long as they brought in the money. There were never any consequences for their actions. I would say she's guilty also for what her sons did to Troy. She raised those monsters. Excellent chapter, Ron.

I love it so far, Cole. It's great that Jake wants to feel better and stop drinking. But...I think he needs to admit he's an alcoholic, or at least admit he has a big drinking problem. Isn't that the first step? I like the title -- So Weeps the Willow -- a play on the weeping willow tree?

Stupid question: did the CSI unit (or whatever it's called in Louisiana) even LOOK at the costume Loren was wearing at the charity event? The wine stains could be blood, not wine. It was ripped at the waist...I really think they should have checked that out, tested it for prints and such. Also, Casey thought Loren had had a wild night because the dress was in ruins -- that was a big red flag for me (along with the wine/blood stains). Wasn't that the same night Loren asked Bruno out to dinner? Why on earth would he pick someone up if he just asked someone else out to dinner? This was another intriguing chapter, Mitchelll! On to the next one!

What is Dex up to? "It's not like that! It's not like that now!" Ok, so obviously he's attracted to both brothers. He turned Ian down, but that may be because they're best friends, and it would be sort of weird to start going out with your best friend. But maybe that's just me. I would have been pissed at Dex also. Although, I think Zane acted a bit impulsively there by breaking up with Karli not long after his and Dex's kiss. Ok, I'm all caught up, Furnished. When's the next chapter coming? Tomorrow??????????

It sure seems like Ian is crushing on his best friend. And now so is his brother. I think Zane should have told him then what happened. This is such an awesome story, Furnished!

I can understand Troy's feelings of betrayal from his family for not telling him that his attackers are Jayden's cousins. But to take it out on Jayden just isn't right. As Wallace said, Jayden took a huge risk by testifying against those lowlifes. What Claire and Jayden did in the mall was wonderful. She's absolutely right; no one can know what someone else is feeling unless they take a walk in their shoes (some of that was paraphrasing from one of Melissa Etheridge's awesome songs ). This was another terrific chapter, Ron!

Oh, Tim, I just LOVED this story!!!!!!! You tackled a tough theme with honesty, bravery, and humor. Fire extinguisher spunk made me like everyone else! And watching porn with a fire extinguisher! Too funny! You did an awesome job on this, Tim!

At first, I thought they were getting dressed for their wedding! What an awesome surprise at the end, though! Well, not much of a surprise, but I did shed happy tears for Alek and Liam! Now we need Bryson and Nathan's story to be told. With of course Marty and Elena thrown in for good measure! This was an excellent story, Lit! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I love your feature, Renee! Even though I'm not an author, I can learn a lot about writing from these blogs. Graeme, this was a great topic. Like Val, I grimace (without talking :P) when I think back to the very early stories I edited. There were way too many variations of 'said', 'asked', and 'replied.' And the adverbs! It's SO much better when you put an action there instead of the adverb. I did have a question, though that has nothing to do with the subject: Shouldn't this be 'were?': "I wish he was here," "I wish he were here..." I thought if you're wishing something, you say 'were,' not 'was.' Use “Were,” Not “Was,” for Wishful Thinking A sure sign that you should use the subjunctive is when the word wish is used. I think Marcus is being his normal stubborn self. I totally agree with his mom; he should give Andy some space to figure things out. I think Marcus could be a bit more sensitive and stop lashing out at Andy every time Andy says something he doesn't like.I know that could be Marcus' defense mechanism, but he needs to reign it in and cut Andy some slack. IMO As usual, HB, I'm anxiously awaiting the next chapter.

Penny is so insightful -- so is Jayden. They are absolutely right when they talked to Penny and Troy's mom explaining how Troy must be feeling. And isn't it true that you lash out most at the ones you love? You do this because you know they'll always love you, no matter what. This was another great chapter, Ron!

I knew it! I knew as soon as Ben spewed that shit about Travis to Christine, Travis would be right there listening. The funny thing is, I can relate so much to how Ben's feeling. Not about his conversation with his ex, but needing that emotional and physical connection with Travis. He knows he screwed up an already-fragile relationship, and he's scared to death Travis is going to tell him to get lost. That's where the pleading comes in. I can imagine when Travis told him to get into bed, Ben released a huge sigh of relief. As your readers have said, B&T certainly don't talk about their feelings. You can tell that they're both falling for the other person, but neither one will take the step and talk about what he's feeling. This was another excellent chapter, Mac! I noticed you posted this the beginning of July. It's now practically the middle of August (soooooo depressing ) Where are you? I've been MIA for about a month, but now I'm back and there aren't any new chapters! Well, I just found out you were last on here an hour ago. So, my bad. What an intense chapter, Jeff! I'm thrilled B&B saved Dustin, and Dustin will live. He's going to need intense, daily therapy for years and years and years. How can one come back from this? All the physical and emotional abuse his "parents" and "sister" put him through for the past sixteen years won't just disappear in Dustin's head. Unless for some reason he gets amnesia, but I don't think that can happen without a trauma to the brain. Unless his defense mechanisms push through and he gets amnesia due to all the emotional trauma he's experienced. Idk...just speculating. I agree with everyone who said Billy reacted pretty quickly with Dustin and he acted maturely when Brett was freaking out. I will confess, though, that I was when Brett was freaking out with all the f words, especially with the 911 lady. Seriously, though, she needs to go. Don't they have to respond to all calls? I was a little confused when Dr. Reilly showed up so quickly. I thought she was away at some book press tour or something. She wasn't coming home until Wednesday, right? How on earth did she show up before the EMTs? (Btw: the plural of EMT is EMTs. The possessive form of EMT would be EMT's: The EMT's jacket is hanging on the door.) Hey, Myr. I have a question about the comment box (if that's what it's called). I haven't found this question anywhere, so hopefully I'm the only one having this issue. Every time I click on the comment box to write a comment for a review, or a forum post (ha, it just came up now!), I keep getting this extremely annoying bar that comes up. It says: 'Enter your text; hold ctl and right click for more options.' This comes up every single time I'm typing, no matter where I am in the comment box. It's so very annoying, and frequently it comes up right over the words I'm typing! Is there any way to get rid of this? Thank you in advance, Myr!
