As studies for all involved will be coming to an end shortly, I am curious as to what the immediate future will look like...

Ghil seems to be stuck in a situation of his own devising, finding comfort in the self-imposed pity party he has created for himself... While he has thoughts of something better, he conveniently creates blocks that obstruct that path. I had to be doing something that sent them running but I couldn’t for the life in me work out what it was. I’d been accused of being clingy to then accused of being too distant. It was like I had no middle ground and was always juggling the two extremes. I just always felt like something was off. Like there was a great wall of glass that was always separating me from other people. I couldn’t connect. Could never really get my feelings across and eventually grew cold to theirs. Getting to know someone just to have them leave was far worse than never getting to know them at all, so I just stopped. He's inured to wallowing in his misery...One has to wonder just what will it take to break his shell??

I'd have to agree that the Demifae/Hunters were ignorant of the peril they faced, did they not realize they were outclassed, outnumbered, and unaware of the danger they faced??? “Peggy, why did these soldiers come here?” Auntie Peg took a closer look at the crumpled bodies of the two men who were not in pieces. “Oh, they’re Demifae. So then, they were after the kids.” Dotty Marbles gasped. “Hunters?! I thought this city was cleaned up and safer now. The Messiahs are gone, but I haven’t thought much about the Demifae. What is wrong with some people?!” “As far as I’m concerned,” Auntie Peg stated, “these idiots were on a suicide mission. The children in our care are some of the most powerful beings on the planet.” What's to stop them from trying again here or elsewhere??

I'm not so sure Bryan has lost the plot here, given his and Calebs testimony, which can't be ignored speaks volumes. Up to date, with the testimony given, there isn't a snowballs chance in hell that the, "used ass wipe" has any sorta chance in winning this case, in the real world that is...Come on folks...the testimony of the 20 or so "girlfriends "sunk the scum suckers case. Any other way of trying to explain or portray this. is an exercise in furious self-flagellation...something I have ever rarely ever been accused of... What remains to be seen is just how low the author is gonna take us.. And I for one, can't wait!!!. Bring it on!!! Logic and reason be damned!!! Not that I have any strong opinions....

Sad news indeed but as @akascrubber pointed out, we've come a long way in treatment for these types of injuries... Why do I get the feeling that once things sorta settle down, Rocky just may prove to be the little engine that could when it comes to Manny's recovery.... And @weinerdog may be on to something as Bass is one of my favorite beers, now where can I meet a like-minded Bass??? And no, you boy's and gentlefolk...not at all what you are thinking, however my Bass should have a large....

I think you've been struck by the curse of a fantastic chapter, a story that needs at least another chapter or a dozen, sorta like those potato chips but waaay cuter....

This and short while ago we've had inklings as to Oscar's mother and their relationship, in a previous chapter he was very derogatory in a comment that referenced her and now the death staredown below...I am curious as to why there isn't a warm relationship between the two.... Christmas Day celebrations with the whole family were spent at Yanchep for a change, and it appeared to be going smoothly, although I was getting the stare down by my mother, which I was not quite sure what it was about, and I made a mental note to ask my grandparents about it, once they were on their way home to Moore. mm

Keith needs to remember he owes Maria nothing as she certainly wasn't pure as the driven snow...so to speak...I've worked with and for the Delia types...I generally found those sort to be like a meandering late summer river, so much wider than deep....
