With the expression on Flynn's face, Dante wouldn't have been surprised if he spat on the floor in front of him, but Flynn controlled himself. "And this is coming from an impotent coward?" "I'm neither, but the fact that I wouldn't even touch someone like you with a pair of pliers probably doesn't occur to you either. Well whatever. Sugar blossoms like you get their brains fucked out early." Dante shrugged, wondering why he was actually arguing here. You couldn't argue with guys like Flynn, and when things went bad, they escalated as well. "You think you're so incredibly smart, Jewel..." Flynn said quietly, slowly, in a tone that probably would have seemed dangerous with someone else, and Dante raised a brow- because with Flynn, pale, dark circles under his eyes and trembling hands, it seemed downright ridiculous. "But you're not half as good as you think you are. Are you letting that overgrown kid bang you because Tom isn't good enough for you? Or because you can't get to Blaise?" With a disgusted shake of his head, Flynn stormed past Dante, who at first wanted to reach for him but then let him be. When he turned to Frank, he had dropped his mask and now looked like an angry grizzly. "If that candy-ass comes at me one more time-" "What did he say to you?", Dante interrupted him calmly. To his relief, Frank took a deep breath first. "A whole lot of mean and ugly stuff. About me. About you." The broad shoulders jerked. "It was him who saw us." And the wagons are circling Matthew, I don't think Mistress Carolyn will leave any stone unturned in seeing that he is taken care of, and Dante's idea for Mistress Alice to help with using the power of her website may pay dividends, for both...and what is behind Frank's new attitude? And his reticense in Alice marrying Matthew?

Thanks for this reading about these guys is always a treat...I got a chuckle out of the following... Since I wasn't wearing gloves, yes, in a way it was. Our constant and immediate mental-magical connection had helped my magic calm down. I couldn't really use it, and probably never would, but at least I could now touch Dust, who described our connection as “magical soulmates,” without gloves. I didn't necessarily want to try that with Violet.
