So the boys barely got to relax. Hell the meal isn't done and the press or worse is on to them. In addition to two horrible parents, it seems they weren't far from the tree, cause the grandparents dont sound like much either. Well, between Drew, the twins, Jay, and Cerrian this should be one hell of a trip.

After the first book, Noel and Diarmad are together. Everything should be perfect, but when does the course of love ever run smooth? Almost immediately there are cracks in what should be happily ever after. What is bringing on the king's distrust in everyone? Is there something wrong? Noel's powers continue to grow. Okay. I want to confirm here what I've said before, D is a huge idiot. He tries first to be noble, but comes off as a fool. For a king who is a gracious leader, he treats those closest to him horribly. When he should be honest he is silent, when he needs to be calm he shows off. Noel isnt free from this either. He cared for Kris but his heart still belonged to D. Instead of settling matters he did things from a distance, example being his song, and even when with D he never bothered to even talk about the things that mattered most. For a man who is suppose to balance a king and be the ultimate with three souls working as one, he comes up short. These two men both need to pull it together. Back to book three.

In this first book of The King's Mate you have a rich tapestry quickly but wonderfully woven and presented. Noel is about to turn 18. Instead of the usual worries of first loves or college issues, he finds himself in the center of a world he never knew existed. His beloved grandmother was a member of The Order and kept a watch over him for Diarmad. Diarmad was a man Noel met every year at Christmas. However, this year Noel finds that things were never what they seemed and his life is more special than he ever suspected. This story has love, romance, betrayal, kings, consorts, mystery, and more. Aditus creates an inviting world, daring you to come in, but warning you of the danger around each corner. Why wait? Throw caution to the wind and read.

Yup, way too short, but a nice set up. Moving on to book 2.

I have a serious issue here. This is far too short. Luckily, I am late to the party, so on to book 2.

I've played catch up. The story has been rich and I love them all. I just wonder what is in store for them next?

I'm probably one of the few who is worried. The twins are ok, Drew is partially relaxed, Jay is having fun, and Drew's mom is mothering everyone. Nice chapter. So are we having a fire, flood, or plague come in to upset the apple cart next chapter? I worry about this group of poppets.

Now that was a great story. Read the whole thing in one sitting. Eric and Peter compliment one another. I love the Queen and Olek. I'm happy to know there is a second book. -Wayne

Okay I'm going by the numbers. Lol 1) Nico was smart to seduce his husband. I'm glad he also gave Dia space to process things. It seems even Nico is still figuring out things. 2) Dia maybe the king, but after being hurt he cant seem to see the forest through the trees. The man needs to admit his mistakes, own them, and move on. He cant keep everyone at arms length and be an effective leader. 3) Ivan just makes everything better. I wonder how much stronger he will become when he has a mate. 4) I love Henry. (Sorry, just couldn't resist.) 5) There is major trouble coming for them all. We can see the warnings if not exactly how. Cant wait for more.

The guys have a moment, but waiting for the other shoe to fall. At least they all seem to be on the same page.

Ok, I love Henry. Then again that should be no surprise. The poor king D is going to need surgery. After all it is hard to get his head out of his butt. Nico has his work out cut out for him. Ivan might have to help Nico. 'Til next time.

Truthfully, people have a right to be as private or as out as they like. I'm horrible at keeping my life secret. It leaks out in stories, poems, and regular conversation. I always feel that everyone leads many lives, and they are as open or closed as they need to be. As long as the life you live is fulfilling to you and you aren't hurting others, that is all that matters.

Aria is nearly comatose. Jay is the sort of friend everyone needs. Amara is hurt and fighting to keep those most important to him close. These are who Drew was afraid of? Drew's mom is in full mother mode. She is going to protect and care for the twins, Jay, and Drew. I can see many pots of coffee and tea being made. Drew has two broken souls to help. Both love him, and he loves them. He has a lot to do. Jeff needs to he contacted, the hospital needs to be updated, Amara needs a doc if just for medicine, and Aria needs help to come back to himself. Drew really is in the deep end with the men he loves. Can't wait for more.

New year - same me but trying new ways. After a horrendous year last year I needed help and have been talking. Hard admitting one is only human. It also helps to hear or be reminded that there are two or more sides to any story, and while your choices are your own, sometimes the things leading up to it,and the choices others make after it you aren't responsible for. In other news I'm working on three projects. A story for the anthology using Seeon and the Waza family. A new chapter in my seer story. (I know I said it was done but sometimes your characters just don't want to be forgotten.) Finally I'm hoping to complete a 5 or 6 chapter story I'm calling Next Chapter. It is about a man forced to start over after being kept on the edges of everything. That's all for now.

So they are face to face and neither lays their cards on the table. Not only is one a powerful mind reader but he knows his mate is in trouble. The other is a King unwilling to communicate. I get the feeling there is a lot more to Ivan. Until your next chapter and a few new pieces of the puzzle.

So Nico is in an odd position. His mate needs him, Craig senses him, and his powers are warning him. Seems like a powder keg ready to go off. Onwards.

Late to the party but enjoying this. Nico is an interesting character and you have a lot of intrigue just below the surface.
