    Early April

I'm with Graeme here, the whole deal with Clarence is very fishy. Makes me think Gary has been visiting Toph's family and knows what Clarence is like. Charles may have been pestering Clarence, although it makes me wonder why he never interfered with his bad treatment before. Perhaps with Toph gone Clance began picking on other family members at Christmas and they suddenly realized what an arsehole he is. He got off much to easy - a few texts and Toph accepts his apology? For a whole life of snide remarks and nasty put-downs? And he expects all will be hunky-dory when they meet at Clarissa's wedding? And what's all this about Toph resenting Clarence? Did Gary understand this from what Toph told him? Why don't we get told what caused the resentment originally, since I assume Gary told him that too? While I'm happy for Toph he had a wonderful vacation and is falling in love, I'm not sold on Gary yet. His repeat on the whole you-need-your-family deal alarmed me and brought back the feeling of manipulation. I'm glad Toph remained unconvinced. While Gary may love Toph and have his best interests at heart, I can't shake the suspicion Gary wants Toph to return to Euphoria because then he would fit better into Gary's circles. He can be a nice little trophy 'wife' who paints and looks good on Gary's arm.

    Back on Track

Bubba to the rescue, yay! Glad Ryan got everything sorted out and went back to Clayton. Very happy he said yes to moving in. Did Clayton call Bubba and ask him to call Ryan?
  5. Tillykke med fødselsdagen happy waving of the oldest current flag in the world
  6. That should deflate them pretty quick, and putting on swim trunks will avert the disaster. Not that I think it ought to be a disaster to have Ryan and Luke admit to being gay to their parents, and it might help to get rid of Ryan's idiot of a father. At least with Luke there, he won't be able to beat Ryan up.

    Chapter 4

I'm pleased Liron finally saw what he needed to do, both in relation to his dad and to Milo. His sister helped too, as I expected she would. I'm glad they found love of the forever kind.

    Chapter 3

I'm normally a very sensible person and not a fan of letting your emotions rule you, but in this case I think Liron made the wrong decision. Milo's band mates like him and wanted him to come along and Krista would have been very pleased to have Liron's assistance on the whole tour. He has no job or other responsibilites, and Milo has promised to bring him back to Colston in September if things don't work out. Liron is hurting them both with his cowardice.

    Chapter 2

Milo seems pretty determined and open about wanting Liron (permanently), and the sex is certainly out of this world. If Liron lets the man fuck him without protection he's already lost the fight to stay away from hurt. His heart was lost long ago and running away won't help. Of course, we know what Milo means when he says 'we' are leaving, but I understand why Liron doesn't.

    Chapter 1

I like Liron, he's competent and confident about his abilities in his work, and prickly about the 'boy' epithet, but shy and unassuming when it comes to his crush. Not doing what a main band member tells you must be high on the no-no list, but I understand why he goes home. He's worn out, por guy.

    Chapter 9

The brat did good, Dad will be proud of him. Introducing Ross to Todd was a great idea and running interference with Wu and Ross' mum was even better. Wu is really getting on my nerves, doesn't he know the meaning of the word privacy? Telling Ross' mom about the date was a new low, followed by another attempt to pressure his friend to date. I'm glad Ty thinks fast and is good at misdirection. I expect Ross to keep avoiding Wu, who deserves to feel ignored and pushed away. Might teach him some manners. Kevin is so sweet, he really wants to sate his curiosity, but he's afraid of hurting Warwick. I know you don't write sex scenes (a shame but I respect your reasons), but when I said I wanted to see more of Kevin this is exactly what I meant. Of course, I hope we also get some post-sex talks to find out how Kevin feels about it and about Warwick. Interesting how he's not physically attracted to unspecific guys including porn, yet the thought of being with Warwich sends his heart racing. Sadly, the transgender girl might have been just right for Kevin, if he hadn't fucked that up. I love it when Doug and other students at the school are surprised by Neil, and it was a great lead up to the next part. I chuckled when Jason described the Leopards as defensive and protective and how he baited and complimented Peter at the same time. Interesting to see Paul and Todd being scouted too. But I don't want to see the Leopards lose Todd, he's exactly the sort of experienced, solid player Henry was talking about during the interview with the head coach candidate. I think he did well, but of course I prefer Julie. I wondered if they tried to find out how Henry felt about female coaches, but presumably he wouldn't have applied unless he was OK with that? And it shouldn't be a topic at all same as with an openly gay player. Of course the conversation between Peter and Julie was even more interesting, and it did achieve the aim of clearing up the story about Dave. I can understand Julie's worries, but on the other hand Dave seems to be totally focused on the field, so I doubt he'll hear the spectators. Jim said something similar about the homophoic comments. And if players get punished for making inappropriate remarks it's a good signal to everyone else. Julie is quite right about the situation with the brat, everyone is trying not to show interest in order notto give the game away, and it's becoming glaringly obvious to people like her. LOL I look forward to everyone's reaction when the Blues or the Bulldogs snatch up Ty.

    Chapter 21

I bet that scream brings Ash running to the room to kill whoever is hurting Kye. I doubt Kye's father knows what Barrett has done to his son, and the Marquis would never have let the boy go. But collecting the money sounds like a good idea.

    Brotherly love

Thanks, Def, I glad my lady readers approve of Tor for Kristin, although nothing may come of it. But I think we'll definitely see him at Christmas. Of course, before then we have the engagement party. and perhaps some night-clubbing? Yeah, this chapter was probably the most light-hearted so far. Thanks for noticing the part about Chris, I don't think he's fully aware of the regard everyone has for him. But it's nice the respect and considerate behavior is mutual. Yay, finally someonce mentioned the twins discussing dancing, I had fun writing that scene.

    Brotherly love

Indeed, Tim, what more could we want? Thank you for the compliments, and I'll try to keep us in touch with this bunch of guys more often.

    Brotherly love

Aaaww, dragon, I'm sorry! Not Thanks for the nice words, I'm glad you approved of the blond vikings, jocks, dancing etc. It's a relief no one has complained about the chapter length so far.

    Brotherly love

LOL, I promise to be discreet about Tor and Kristin. After all, this story is from Russ' POV and he certainly does not want to know any details about his older sister's love life. Hearing about Evan's fun in bed is more tha enough to have Russ Thanks for saying the interaction was interesteing and for sticking with the story.

    Brotherly love

Thanks, LL, I'm happy you think Kristin might become interested in Tor. I think you're right, once she makes up her mind about him, she'll be able to ignore Evan. Yeah, Russ did show some brotherly love, right? It's awesome to have at least one reader rooting for Chris, he's usually in the background, but that doesn't mean he isn't important.

    Brotherly love

Thanks, lux, glad you enjoyed it. No teasing intended, I mean to follow them all the way to their wedding in spring. Provided readers don't get bored with the story before then.
  20. Timothy M.

    Brotherly love

Thanks, CG, I'm those Danish men have captured your heart, and that you approve of Tor. Kristin does seem to agree, eh? Yes, the dancing I hope I can live up to your expectations. Don't know what I was thinking, letting the twins persuade me to that.
  21. Timothy M.

    Brotherly love

Thanks, Gary, I'm glad you liked how Russ is influencing Evan, it was an important development in my mind too. Same with the situation with Chris, because it's one thing to have your boyfriend or your twin back you up, but somehow more flattering to earn the approval of a man like Chris. I'm also pleased Tor came across as a great guy even with the quick glimpses we've had so far. But of course, since Jacob is 'perfect' he needs an awesome BFF.
  22. There was one for Prompt 502, but JAR forgot to add it to the topic, and I forgot to remind him. Sorry.

    Chapter 12

Well, I think Jackson needed to go with his friends in order to find out how he feels about them and Ally, and I think his mother is a nasty bitch. I hope dinner is burnt black and the whole house smells disgusting. She doesn't give a fuck about Luke, only about herself looking good in the eyes of Cindy and the churchy bunch. Look at the casual way she dismissed his very real problem with swimming, coach and college. And yeah, I know he initially wanted to go to the park and be with Luke, but that was an important thing for him to experience. And yes, if he had any backbone he wouldn't have let himself be persuaded. But seriously, Toby and Derek are his best friends and they finally show up and want to include him, and he's supposed to say no ? He's a teen. Not gonna happen. Plus I think his worries about Cindy's sharp eyes seeing him and Luke acting different were quite realistic. So staying away might be a good idea. Hopefully, Henry will rope him and Luke in to help with something, so they can spend time together without the crazy witches hovering around. Of course, Luke will be very upset to hear he spent the day with his friends. And now Jackson is so embarrassed he doesn't want to face him. Thanks to his self-righteous, interfering, oblivious, uncaring toad of a mother. Rant over

    Brotherly love

    LOL, you got there first.
  25. Not to worry, LL, as long as you didn't miss reading it. But I'm always glad to hear your thoughts. Thank you for supporting the idea of Patrick having John with him when meeting Fiona. Since he also works in education or at least a related field, Patrick got inspired to ask. Of course, the simple fact he has a friend to ask, was pretty significant for our (previously) lonely hero. Glad you find the idea of two weddings awesome.
