  1. I think you should stick to the usual prompt feature, why change what works. And no one could expect you to do all this work, the time is better spent on other things. The way to do a monthly feature might be to make a temporary topic where all the authors who did a prompt in the past month went and left their name, the name of their story with an embedded link and the first line (or two). Then you copy all of them - and if the author forgot to do it, then no blame on you for missing any. Afterwards, simply delete the topic and start a new one - or delete the posts and go for the next month.

    Chapter 33

I guess Liam is not taking it as badly as I feared, that's a relief. Doug is a good friend even if he's thick at times, when will he learn not to call Neil names? I got the message you were hinting at: the parallel between Liam and Phil, how people can change and see the errors of their ways, but it's understandable that Neil doesn't trust either of them. By the way, why didn't Liam send the mail to Todd as well as Neil, ? If Todd reads whatever he has written, he might persuade Neil to read it too. Liam isn't all that bright / clever either, is he? I'm impressed Ty didn't bash his dad's face in, that bastard deserved it for talking to and about Karen that way. But in a way it's good she has met him, so she knows where Ty is coming from and that he is not exaggerating when he says his dad is an utter bastard. I wish they hadn't told Ty's dad about him going to Carlton with Jim. But they probably didn't see any harm in it, since they don't know the mischief he's been up to with other clubs. The funny thing is he's probably done Ty a favor as he might have started negotiations if his dad hadn't blocked it and now he's still free to go to the best place. Talk about irony of justice. Deon needs to meet Clarissa.
  3. I get all nostalgic now, it was such a wonderful experience, reading that story.
  4. That poll was difficult to decide on. On one hand, if people know their prompts will be featured, it may encourage more to be written right after the prompts are out - or at least for the weeks you do the first line feature. On the other hand, it's also nice when you chose to feature a single prompt, including older ones (since this happened to me ). Maybe you could keep doing the usual prompt feature weekly and add a monthly prompt wrap up, where you feature the prompt stories written that month. All the first line prompts could be grouped under the relevant heading and the other prompts (list of words etc) can be featured with their first line. But I guess it's quite a bit of work...

    No Surrender

CJ is not butchered after birth - what a wonderful phrase. That means CJ's mom scores a BIG plus in my book, since she made the decision not to have him cut. And she's telling her husband to live up to the deal and let the brothers keep in touch. I have trust in CJ - he'll start up with something easier than anal sex. But probably progress fast if they enjoy fooling around.
  6. Does that apply to all of us who gather to congratulate Aditus? A Danish Tillykke for you, Adi.
  7. Tillykke, congratulations, herzlichen glückwunsch Adi, it's well deserved.
  8. I love this chapter, the playful side of Chet is delightful to behold, and it's no wonder Arron cannot help falling like a ton of bricks for his green-eyed guy. Chet deserves a hunky cop of his own, now that Kendall has his Michael. I'm wondering if both guys are tops, but hopefully they are versatile or at least ready to give it a try. Love conquers all.
  9. You know I've been waiting for this chapter since the beginning. Whatever else happens, they've acknowledged their love and their connection, and pledged to each other for life. This makes me happy and sappy - and the end made me horny. (excuse me while I wipe up the drool) Anyway, the veil has been torn from Em's eyes, both about the coin and about his feelings - and perhaps also about his father loving him and caring about him after all. Was Erich a predator? No matter, Em has something better now, someone who loves him completely, to make up for all the hurt he has suffered. And like their combined might and loved dispelled the dread dog, I'm hoping it will conquer the curse too.
  10. Thank you Robert, I liked the vanilla-volcano banter a lot, so I'm delighted it resonates with my readers.I have the feeling Rob relishes the chance to play the strong protector with a just cause.
  11. I had forgotten how bloody scary this chapter is! But the drive in the beginning was a nice compensation for the later fright. The fact that Silviu's touch soothes Em should tell him how important this Romani is to him. Yet he defies or ignores him at every turn. Is it lack of trust or lack of intelligence or just a childish independent streak ? I want to shake him and tell him to open his eyes.
  12. Thanks AC, including your help in making this chapter cool. Rob on duty, yeah I like that idea, lol. And for all Eric may object to being protected by his Brother and boyfriend, he certainly does not hesitate to rely on them, does he?

    Phone Calls

Jay is nothing but determined and courageous. How embarrassing, but how sensible too, to call your gay uncle for advice. I get the feeling Sam's family are not accepting of hm and Mikkel. At least he has awesome in-laws in Jay's parents. Now I have to go and make some hot cocoa.
  14. I can see Team Rob is unanimous so far in approving of his behavior. That makes me proud.I admit I was almost giggling while I wrote the vanilla banter. As a teen I would have been furious about such teasing, but now I can understand the acceptance behind it. Connor is cool, and he has a bit of hero worship of his older cousin, who would certainly be touched and proud of his actions.
  15. Aww, Gary thanks. I liked the walk in the park, too. It was a good way to pass the time until the Mall opens. Yes, Rob has little patience with stupidity, he and Eric are alike on this matter.
  16. LOL oh Jaro what a wonderful compliment. You're quite right, I've forgotten myself why the Mall became such an important goal. But I guess it's mainly due to the endless possibilities for fun situations and interesting encounters.I'm glad you're enjoying the story, I have such fun writing it, and AC is a great beta for keeping me connected to how teens would act and talk. But if my readers didn't enjoy it, I would soon lose motivation.
  17. Lol, Caz - it was a quite mild physical pressure, I think. But you're right, sometimes it takes a bigger bully to convince the first bully. You'd notice Rob didn't comment on Kev's opinions, only on his behavior. This was quite deliberate.
  18. I appreciate your long reviews CG, and your points about the girl and the background of the teens' behavior are very true. I'm not sure about the mom, maybe she's just one of those parents who ignore what their kids say or give up on commenting on all of it. But you may be right about her.So far we've only seen Eric in quite protected circumstances - he knows Rob has his back, apart from anything Nelson can do. But he's a very keen-minded person who has strong views of right and wrong. If he is the boyfriend of Nelson, he's out and proud, too, and to Hell with what anyone else thinks. Nelson is actually more shy, Eric is mainly introvert and taciturn.
  19. Thanks dughlas, I'm so pleased you pointed out exactly what I wanted to show. Rob and Jas would have teased a sister/best friend combination too, although perhaps with less sexual innuendo.Connor is a good guy, and Eric needs to see there are other qualities to people than intelligence.
  20. LOL, your comment made me laugh, P. I hope you're right. I guess we're used to being relaxed about these things in Scandinavia, but even here I think kids can ask such curious and innocent questions. They're not the problem, but the teen and parent attitudes are.
  21. Thanks JAR, glad Rob lives up to your expectations. You're right, he's not a dumb, blond jock, and being with three clever, talktative guys brings out his silver tongue too.
  22. “I’ve wanted to do this since … forever.” Eric looked at Nelson with a question in his eyes. They were walking in the park behind Rob and Jasper who were discussing the baseball team and various strategies for dealing with any fall-out at Monday night’s practice. Rob still refused to say what had made him hit Chris and Ryan, and he hoped the two guys would keep their mouths shut too. If so, he would pretend nothing was wrong. Jasper wanted to confront them, but promised to follow Rob’s lead. “
  23. I'm slowly working my way through and I've already read some great stuff. But I'm running out of likes. Oh well, that just means I have to go back and read again and leave a like.
  24. At least you didn't call it international pi day as I've seen it done elsewhere. US Pi Day would be more accurate, since most of us don't write our dates jumbled up. Anyway, Happy US Pi Day back.
  25. Oh fuck, why did you have to remind me of that? the whole thing after the office scene with the father had my guts in knots and my throat choked up.
