Proms gave quite a respectable turnout Sasha - the Sigs producing stories right now currently have you guys outnumbered almost three to one!

Excellent! Very good news James!

Families sort of ebb and flow, and Mark shows that in his work. Kids grow up, then have kids of their own. Makes sense that there are periods of time where there is a bit of a gap in the generations. Will,JJ, Marie and John will all be in college and supposed adults by the time Maddy and Reilly get past kindergarten. Ethan too, or he will be very close to graduating high school. Courtney will be the bridge in the family this generation.

Hehehehe - I didn't have to be the one to squeal on ya! Happy Birthday!
-
Hehehehe - I think I would like to see that one! "Hello, Grandmother Dansfield? I just wanted to let you know I'm taking Maddy to the 8th Grade Cotillion and I am thinking about asking her to go steady with me."

The only problem I ever had with it was when people called it offal, since here the word is also used to refer to excrement.

Well done Stellar. Enjoy your new status! -
Do kids even know how to play stick ball or kick the can any more?

I keep wondering what will be said if suddenly they can no longer attain or afford that nice rib eye steak because they have pushed the "butchering animals is horrid" idea too far.

Now, now Mann! What would be confusing about z-z-z-z-z or #&*!

Change of Direction - Prompt 306
Kitt commented on comicfan's story chapter in Change of Direction - Prompt 306
Not all loss is actually a loss - it just takes time and sometimes a kick in the pants to see that. When enough is too much its time for a little intervention. Everyone should have a friend or sister or brother like Alex has. Well one Wayne. -
I think Suvitar has the right of it. If games like HALO 3 and the like are not "damaging to a child's psyche" how can a side of beef in a butcher shop window be? If it bothers mommy to see it - walk down the other side of the damned street!

LOL Grams's number had a 7, 8 and two 0's! Took forever to dial it, especially for a young kid! Frustrating when your finger slips out half way around the dial on the last 0 and you have to hang up and start over!

I can remember when grandma's party line changed over to a private line, one of the last towns to change. She had one of those nosy neighbors on the party line, who always picked up on gram's ring, especially if the rescue squat siren went off just before since gram was a nurse and she might find out some interesting gossip if the call was from the hospital calling gram in, Some glitch in the change over kept her connected to gram for a long while after it was supposed to go private. Drove my grandpa nuts!

Not weird - different. And different is ok. The world would be boring without different.

Remind me if I ever write more than the one shot short prompt responses I do to hire DDK as my pr man!

I think the entire thing can be summed up in saying porn is a thing - neither inherently good or bad. Addictive personalities will find something to become addicted to - be that porn or alcohol or drugs. Porn doesn't "lead" anyone anywhere. It is a piece of film - nothing more, nothing less.

Oh lord. Here I thought Matt was making such good progress with Will, finally getting the healing process started. I can see him coming out of Wade's room in the morning and running smack into Will. While "Mt Willsuvious" was avoided when he brought Wade home, I am not sure an early morning encounter like that can end any way except Will exploding. You must stay up nights finding ways to throw us readers for a loop. Thank you, for all your efforts. As is par for the course with your writing, this was Excellent, with a capital E!

WooHoo! bears dance must have worked. We were forecast to get 6 to 8" of snow overnight and we got just enough to make the lawns pretty again and left the roads clear! I saw on the news where NJ ( and I would assume Philly area seeing as we are so close) got more snow this winter than Anchorage Alaska. Something is seriously wrong with that!

I have to agree - it isn't just a "gay men" issue. All one has to do to understand why so many of us, men and women, gay and straight, hate their bodies is to walk through a mall. Any clothing store actually. Look at the Juniors rack, and at the "normal" size clothes. In the women's wear departments they are filled with all these pretty outfits, nice dresses, pleasing skirts and slacks. Men's clothing? Properly fit good looking shirts and pants in all colors and styles. Now look at the "plus size" for women, and "big men" rack for the guys. Color disappears. Shades of grey and black dominate. Shape is non existent. A guy with a 16 inch collar and a 28" waist can get a shirt tailored to fit. One that has the same 16" neck and a thicker waistline gets something resembling a tent. Women's clothes once you get past "large" go from pretty to shapeless sacks devoid of fashion and color, or worse yet the most horrid prints. And "large" varies so widely I have occasionally held up a pair of pants and asked "extra large what? Pixie?" Of course we hate our bodies. Who could not when just about the entire fashion industry thinks they have a right to dictate my breast size or waist size, and society in general seems to think they can put a guy down if he doesn't look like he could enter the Mr America contest in the morning? And don't get me started about shoes that are designed to cripple you! 5" spike heals and toes shaped to climb small gauge chain link fence. Honestly, who's feet are shaped to fit into those?

You are rather attached to numbers aren't you? Interesting stats.

We should be the ones thanking you and your team. You all did a phenomenal amount of work on the story and deserve every word of praise we can come up with.

The methods have changed since I was a kid, but I don't think the issue has. I can remember when my best friend and I found her dad's stash of Penthouse magazines. We were fascinated by the entire concept and no amount of moving the hiding place stopped us. Today it is not just internet porn you need to keep an eye on. Something as simple as their phones could lead to just as much experimentation. Smart phones access the net. Even "old fashioned" flip phones are used for ''sexting" in which teens send revealing pictures and provocative texts to each other. The sexting thing really hit the fan around here when a boy who had been dumped decided to share his girlfriends pics with the football team. The bottom line is maturity. You seem to have a great rapport with your boy. Use it. Talk. He agreed to the current block. If you keep the lines of communication as open as they are now, he will let you know when he thinks its time to remove the block and you can sit down and decide together, just the way you decided to place the block together.

To the Ladies and Gentlemen who won - congratulations, it was well deserved. To the also nominated, well done! You were all up against wickedly tough competition. Just deciding whom to vote for was extremely difficult in some of the categories. To all the people who were nominated in the first round but may not have made the final ballot, you are the heart and soul of GA and I am sure I will be seeing your names on the nominations lists again next year. Every single one of you deserve Congratulations!
