Davewri wrote in a review I was expecting a Jerry Springer Thanksgiving family reunion Mark replied A Jerry Springer Thanksgiving? As the last chapter? LMAO. Are you TRYING to get Mark lynched?

I suppose by those standards David Eddings, Robert Jordan and Terry Goodkind as well as a host of other authors that occupy my bookshelves should stop cluttering up the bookstores too? You are absolutely right Thorn - I never go into a bookstore and come away with only the title I went in for. I usually leave having expended all my expendable income for that day.

Just taking a moment to say Happy Anniversary Mark Arbour Thank you for nine years of wonderful fiction!
-
I know I said this in the reviews, but I feel it bears repeating. Thank you Mark ( and team Arbour) for your patience, perseverance, and mostly for your love of writing. It shows in everything you do.

What a lovely way to wrap up the current story and still leave threads loose to be picked up in the next installment. I believe that the happy drama in this family is at least as compelling as the conflicts! Thank you Mark, for your patience, perseverance, and mostly for your love of writing. It shows in everything you do.

Very nicely done Wayne. The way you brought dad in to calm Franks fears without actually telling him the facts that would really have to come from young Chris to have the right impact was terrific. You couldn't have given us any more hints without everyone sewing the pieces together! One more brother would have tipped it for sure!

There are several success stories too - Lake Placid New York for example. They hosted a second Winter Olympics, serves as a training facility, and draws tourists year round. Was a trip to sit in the sun watching the ski jumpers practice their arial gymnastics to land in a pool in July!

what time is it at at your place and what you'd probably be doing

My My! Someone has been lighting fires under posteriors this week!

You now have the comfort of knowing your wife truly does love you - and for who you are, not who she wants you to be. That certainly is a wonderful place to be.

Queeny's Decision - Prompt 303
Kitt commented on comicfan's story chapter in Queeny's Decision - Prompt 303
Glad I am not the only one likes HEA's! And I love that we got the answer to the previous prompts questions too! Well done sir! -
Last I recall, JJ was doing the home schooling/tutor thing to facilitate his traveling to tournaments and make scheduling ice time easier. I believe that is a common practice in the more advanced skating crowd, is it not? At least it is with the equestrian crowd!

LMAO! Daniel sounds like my hubby about 10 minutes before people start arriving on Christmas Eve around here! But his line is "ratty shorts and a sports bra" And you are NOT supposed to be giving that throw cover thing away like that!

When I first joined, I didn't really know anyone around the sight so I listed myself as ask, but I make no secret of the fact that I'm straight. I used to read a lot on Literotica but found myself becoming irritated with the sight. Seemed like stories were being stolen from there more and more, and it resulted in a lot of stories I was following just going poof. I sort of tripped on a M/M story accidentally and got hooked on the plot before I even realized it WAS M/M. When that author decided to make the switch over here, I followed him. Once I got here and caught up on his story, I started poking around and the rest as they say, is history. Why do I stay and read gay fiction when I am a married straight lady? Simple - I am a sucker for a good romance and good drama in a story. None of the other sights make finding those sorts of stories anywhere near as easy as GA does. When I first started reading here I swore I was going to stick to completed stories with the execption of the story I followed to this sight, but so much for that idea! I'm hooked so I start following a favorite authors new work right from the get go.

The 2013 Gay Authors Readers' Choice Ballot and Voting
Kitt replied to TalonRider's topic in The Lounge
I would be interested to know how the participation this year stacks up as compared to previous years? Were there more nominations, or fewer? Did as many people participate in the final vote? I would also love to see a listing of all nominated stories, even if they didn't make the final ballot. It would be a huge boost for any writer to even get one nomination. At least I would have been honored if I had been eligible and been nominated. -
Hmmmm, It's November in the story line, If Kevin's mussings are right will Will be around to help deliver baby Dansfield #2? That would be around the end of August, so I guess it would be a function of where Wade chooses to go to law school, and if he has moved yet at that point. I have to agree with some of the other reviewers - three sexually active young men on a plane owned by Stefan Schulter and they could only come up with one condom? I have to disagree however that it was all for a bit of gratuitus kinky sex. Gathan spent a lot of time over the last few chapters trying to tell Will he was cruising for trouble with Zach, and Will completely blew him off, and not in the enjoyable sense. I see the rift between Will and Gathan as an issue of trust. Will felt Gathan didn't trust him to make his own decisions about Zach, and Gathan felt Will didn't trust him enough to actually listen. Agreeing to barebacking showed that they both were trusting the other immensely. Tops may be at a reduced risk as compared to bottoms, but reduced does NOT mean risk free. I was half expecting much more drama at the dinner table. Ethan being there seemed to be a non-issue execpt for Emaline trying to rub Elizabeth's nose in Jeff's infidelity. And even that little dig seemed less meant for Ethan and much more just to irritate Wade's mom! I'm not seeing a bunch of tidy little bows here Mark. Does that mean these stories will continue in the next book? If your comment a few chapters back still holds true we only have one chapter left. I can't for the life of me see how you can settle some of these issues in so short a span! Write sir, write! Like any addiction I find myself wanting more and more. This is one addiction I have no desire to kick!

Writing Tip: Best/worst Part I - Promising Authors
Kitt commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Writing World
I've never understood the tendency to toss such acidic words in a review. I doubt there has ever been a story written in the history of the written word that has pleased every reader to look at it. If I dislike something about a chapter and feel the necessity to comment negatively on it, I feel I should at the very least be polite about it. One can criticize a work without being insulting to the author. Those sort of "negative" reviews could be helpful. A review so filled with acid and hatred achieves little but to hurt an author. -
Are You Sure There's a House in There?
Kitt commented on Kitt's story chapter in Are You Sure There's a House in There?
Who knows? Perhaps one day I will learn to direct this silly little voice and "the rest of the story" can hit the screen.Thank you. -
Isn't the entire topic of heaven and hell - angels and devils confusing? Hope you enjoyed.

What's that old saying? "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while". It was a fun prompt to play with! Thanks for taking the time to read and review.

I'll drive the little blue one out there as soon as she is done here. Start lunch and I will call when we are 5 or 10 min out so you can put the kettle on!

I have to agree with Adam. Not sending our athletes to Sochi would have achieved no lasting results. I think having several members of our committee going over being openly gay may in the long run have a much bigger impact. That being said, I sort of agree with Thorn as well in that avoiding the purchase of advertised wares would also have a major impact. Simply not watching however only hinders yourself. I suggest if you are of that mind to watch - enjoy - note the products advertised and avoid purchasing those goods and services!
