It's one of my favorite features and I look forward to reading the authors' responses every month. I've read both Second Shot and Gemini and enjoyed both of them. It's nice getting some further insight from both authors. I can relate to a lot of what you've been through, Dark. I'm so glad you've found a measure of peace.

OMG I used to love "Renegade"! lol Lorenzo Llamas... I grew up in the '80s - the decade of cheesy TV shows. lol "Mama's Family" comes to mind... "Soap"... There are tons of others, but can't think of them right now.

I think I have to agree with Cole about liking "Line of Sight" best. I enjoyed all three stories, but there was something about the two main characters that made this story special. I can relate to being shy and not liking confrontation. I'm a lot better than I used to be, but still mainly prefer keeping to myself and get very anxious when meeting new people. I also have a lot of trouble focusing. I'm very easily distracted and it can make it difficult to actually get any writing done. I've seen other authors respond that they need music or the tv on or something like that in order to write. I'm the opposite in that I need peace and quiet. What type of environment do you like to write in? Do you find it easier to write when you have a deadline, such as for the anthologies?

I really enjoyed this. Nice take on the prompt.

I did worse than the teenagers! lol Give me an '80s music quiz and I'll probably know them all. lol I've always been more into classic rock and blues than pop, though. I was never a big fan of '90s music.

I think the colors/paintings were a bit of a foil, although I envisioned one leading to life and one to the afterlife. I think which door depends on the individual. There's a couple of places where you refer to Donnie as "Tommy" and in the scene where they're eating dinner, you refer to Casey's father as talking basketball with Rodney and Curtis, but Curtis never sat at the table - he went right to his room to do his 'history report'. I'm glad that Casey's father finally talked to him about why he left. It seems they have more in common than they think. I hope Casey will take the olive branch that's been offered. I really like Shade. I think that taking that drama class will be a really good thing for Casey.
