    People mean well, but they need to realize that not all advice or comments are welcome or helpful. I can't stand it when people tell horror stories to someone about to go through a difficult procedure. I'm sorry you're dealing with all this. What you're going through is stressful enough without all the added 'help'. I hope you're doing ok otherwise.

    Having preferences isn't a failing. I won't apologize for my own attractions either and would never expect anyone else to. But there are polite ways to express things, which your edited post does better than your original.

    I was able to use my new shower this morning It tried to kill me first, though I never needed a bath mat before, but the new covering is slippery so when I stepped into the shower, my foot slid right out from underneath me. I caught myself against the tub with my other leg/knee, so thankfully didn't take a complete tumble. I have a giant bruise on my leg from it, though. I had purchased a bath mat a while ago, but never used it, so at least now my tub is safe. But OMG despite that, I love it! Having the window removed, plus the curved shower curtain rod, makes it feel like there's a ton more space. Now I just need to figure out how to adjust the stream on the shower head.

    I'm fine, just busy. The bathroom renovation is finished and looks amazing Now I'm going to try and do a little bit of writing today, as long as my muse cooperates.

    My mom and I were hit by our next door neighbor's relative once. We were in the left hand turning lane at a stop, waiting for the light to turn green. The little snot turned left onto the street we were on, but was going too fast in his sports car and spun out into our car. Thankfully no one was hurt then either. I never liked him though. He was the cousin of the neighbor's kids and we used to hang out when we were younger. He ratted me and my brother out to my parents about something once, so he wasn't my favorite person. lol
