Boo for not sleeping, but at least it ended in creativity.

For TV, I like British crime, both the gritty and the comfy ones. Watching people drop like flies meeting horrible fates in Midsumer murders is so nice and relaxing. Especially (wait for it...) with a glass of wine. EDIT: Oh, and I have to add space as well. Star trek is great. I like the idea of uniforms...

I wouldn't imagine Lucas shipping things from the US, but he did have a lot of time to pass having virtually nothing to do. Shopping could pass the time, leaving him with a substantial wardrobe. I don't know... As for winter gear, he could want it for sentimental reasons? When those kinds of clothes are required in New York, I think style is out of the question anyway. As for Joel, he's not used to traveling and possibly suffers from 'I'd better bring it just in case'-syndrome, forgetting they are going to NY and not Svalbard. This always leads to massive over packing and lots of luggage.

Those passing encounters... Some leave memories and I think Roman will remember Christian and Steven. And weren't there two toys...? One in the box, one in that ribbon...? Or am I just letting my mind run away with me?
-
What could have happened!?! He wouldn't leave like that on his own. But would someone take him? Has Ethan snapped...? No, he seems far too nice to do a thing like that. Quite the mystery! And what is Roger's strange hold over Josh? It's so weird how he keeps up that dead end relationship.

What is your favorite story on GA, and who is your favorite Author.

You listed Thaw! That makes me so happy! Thank you! *hug* -
Pierre and Jason knew each other for four years at the most and dated for a summer before they were set to go to different colleges. I would be very surprised if if was still pining after Jason. For Corey, their relationship goes back way further and runs deeper, so for him to miss Jason makes more sense.

Guy no 2 is Tom Mitchell, rugby player. Sooo cute!

From The Cup Of The Worthless By Cynus
Puppilull replied to Cynus's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
I have to agree. As usual, I'm thinking about something interesting to say... We'll see what I can come up with! LOL -
That's so planned it's mean... But who's the other guy...? EDIT: Never mind, I foud him... LOL

Karma... Can we really compare the actions of a 20 year old to that of an older person? Sure, it was a shitty thing to do, but does he deserve to be so miserable for something he did when young and stupid? I would be surprised if Pierre is still hung up on this. Most likely he's moved on completely, with that as an unpleasant but not so significant memory. A lesson learned. You get hurt, but you survive.

It could be Luc thinking Jason just wasn't into group activities. Just because you're casual, it doesn't mean you enjoy that. And I think we agree, neither party is in the clear. They could both have been more honest. Reading the previous comments, it just seemed many put the 'blame' om Luc.
-
Oh, did he or didn't he? I agree with Val, the answer doesn't really matter. He walked out and felt at peace, being able to stand the sun (be it from newfound insight or darker skin). Personally, I think he took the shaman's advice and didn't drink. He had already changed enough during his journey and could finally realize he was a Nahu despite his appearance being different. Belonging is more than skin deep. Even if some might call him sunchild again, I guess he'll take it with more of a sense of humor now. He has found his home and himself.
-
I do agree that Luc could probably figure out that Jason was more attached than he was, but is that really his problem? Should he be obliged to raise the question, if Jason did the same thing to previous encounters? What is Jason's role in this? Shouldn't he have told Luc how he felt? Sure, he was scared and had never done a relationship like that before, but he's a grown man. He can't go around relying on people to read his mind and act accordingly. The difference in expectations is not to be blamed on one of the parties. Especially since it was Jason who seemed to want to break their pattern.

Hmm... Could Curtis be gay? I didn't think so before, but I guess Karen knows him better. Even if Mike had it easy (which he apparently doesn't, sadly enough) that wouldn't mean Curtis would have the same experience. He seems to have a lot of issues with himself, which could explain why he doesn't feel comfortable to come out. Perhaps, the incident after the movie could give Casey an opening to talk to him? Or he decides to try and beat Casey up...?

I guess Jason discovered he needs to be honest, not just with himself but with his partner if a relationship is supposed to grow. Luc didn't know or at least had no reason to question their casual relationship, since Jason didn't say anything. Tough way to learn, though. Meeting his old friends will possibly be tense, but I hope they realize it all happened a long time ago and people change. Very few go through life without hurting someone and it's a lesson in that. Don't be too judgmental. That said, you should be careful who you truly trust. So if Corey and Pierre are smart and mature, they'll stick to polite conversation and leave the past just where it's supposed to be, in the past. But then again, when are we ever smart and mature when it comes to matters of the heart...?

This might belong in here as well... New logo for the Swedish Liberal Party. I'm not kidding. Not really phallic but funny. The fail above is only surpassed by this Swedish municipal owned company who thought it was a good idea to have this as a Christmas greeting a few years back. I practically choked on my cofee, seeing this in the paper...

So the guys are out. I guess it was only a matter of time. Nice to see their friends being ok with it. And they seem a little closer to the L word, even if I stand by my view that it's fine to wait. As long as there is trust, they don't need the label. I wished the chapter hadn't ended right there... I loved Baker's little rant... LOL He was so upset he wasn't crushed on. In the strange coincidence that is the Metafluence on things, that whole shipping thing turned up here too. I had never heard the word until two days ago... Weird!

O. Henry Short Story Prompt 2 - The Last Leaf
Puppilull commented on Defiance19's story chapter in O. Henry Short Story Prompt 2 - The Last Leaf
Very sweet and romantic how the old man would go to such lengths to ensure that leaf didn't fall. Maybe being part of their little circle and seeing their love gave him joy enough to endure the cold? -
O. Henry short story prompt 1: The Green Door
Puppilull commented on Refugium's story chapter in O. Henry short story prompt 1: The Green Door
I really enjoyed this story. It's perhaps sad to see things didn't magically turn out amazing all at once for Rudolf, but it's still heartwarming to see he's got out of his lonely existence and no have a few friends and somewhere to belong. Maybe the boyfriend will come along, maybe he won't. At least he has someone in his life. I like that realistic take on a story. No fairytale or whirlwind romance. Just life. -
I use it to actually follow stories and I must say I haven't even thought about it as a way to show appreciation. I do that with likes, reviews and sometimes actively trying to raise a buzz regarding a story. That said, I don't unfollow finished stories. Maybe I want the author to know how many followed the work in progress. Also, sometimes authors use a story to inform you of a sequel and I don't want to miss that.

Just do it! It would be awesome!

This was kind of funny. Tag line at the end is 'Better divorce for everyone!'

You and me both, Tim. Good night!
