Oh wow... The beginning was difficult to read. Kids getting killed hits extra close to home when I have my own the same age. A heavy burden on Tama's shoulders, being his brother's keeper so young. Is Saya friend or foe? What is she hiding in there? Time will tell.

Nice to see Seth surrounded by friendly faces to help him deal with any recurrence of Kris. To tease siblings is almost mandatory. And to see Seth so smitten must be a relief for Michael.

That's quite the set up for later... But a nice dinner with friends should be good first.

You can tell how much you love them all you want! I'll never get tired of hearing that. I think Lucas has learned to live with not being centre stage when Joel is around. As for dialogue, I really try to get a flow, often speaking the lines out loud just to hear if it sounds natural. So that you appreciated that was particularly pleasing to hear. I'm sort of working on another (or several) stories. Just need to hit that flow. Work seems to shape up way better for fall, so hopefully I'll have energy at night to be creative.

Hmm... Interesting. Diarmad claims Noel to be childish and impossible. Instead, he's acting like an immature ass. Landyn is right. He never took the time to get to know Noel, but seems to have expected everything to simply carry on as usual. No changes in his life, although D has had a very long time to work out the mate thing. Noel didn't but still managed to handle the situation.

Just like your characters speak through silence, your writing says way more than 900 words should. Each sentence carefully crafted and filled with significance. I had to read this lesson very slowly, just to get it all. Impressive! I look forward to the continuation!

Hmm... Nathan seems to have trouble keeping his interest towards Bryce in check. Maybe he feels weird about moving from Liam to his close friend? He didn't seem this nervous when he got to know Liam. I can understand Bryce being a bit put off by Nathan's remark on casual sex. It's not for everyone, but for those who like it it can be fun. So a slightly more open mind, perhaps?

I wrote this little naughty scene inspired by prompt 591 and my readers! The summer office party was in full swing. Partners, associates and significant others were all milling about chatting and sipping champagne in the reception area of Roberts Ander and Tierney, or the RAT nest as the associates used to call it jokingly, much to the dismay of the naming partners. The drinks were flowing and the hors d’oeuvres were of course plentiful but tiny, with all sorts of delicious meats and seafood on toothpicks and cheese with sliced pear or figs on miniscule crackers. Joel snuck one more unidentified cheese on cracker thing into his mouth, almost embarrassed at the number of morsels he had devoured so far. They simply didn’t seem to add up to any substantial food and weren’t nearly enough to satisfy his appetite. More than ever, he felt like “the Swedish giant”, as Mr. Ander had dubbed him in a rare outburst of quick wit. Not that Joel had joined in the laughter. With the amount of champagne being pushed his way by waiters circling like friendly but insistent sharks, he needed all the calories he could get. The bubbly alcohol had worked its dizzying magic, making the room go ever so slightly fuzzy and causing him to giggle in a rather undignified way at nothing in particular. Read more

A junior associate learns a lot about the people they work so closely with. Discretion comes naturally and I expect Anton will be the same. I knew all about extramarital affairs and other stuff they got up to... You know, I hadn't thought about it, but it makes total sense! Lucas is a crafty sort when it comes to shenanigans. He didn't tell me, but this could all be his doing. I hope people see the updates, so they can tag along. It's been a while since I posted... I'm glad you had fun with my guys! I'm thinking being with Alannah could be just the thing needed. She's not threatening as the the guys and can perhaps reach through the veil of fear to get to Galen. They're in for a lot of work. Is there no professional who can come visit? They need some help on how to handle the situation.
