Chapter 1 Poetry Prompt 11
LitLover commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 1 Poetry Prompt 11
These were awesome Gary! It's nice to see you having so much fun with this -
Part of growing up is pushing your boundaries...but it's also about learning. If you learn from this and take something positive from it then I would count that as a success.

Freedom Of Speech And Everything That Comes With It
LitLover commented on Drew Espinosa's blog entry in Drew's Slice of Pi
I read the post (and another one) that has prompted a lot of this reaction and I do agree, what was said was very offensive, especially when it was said seemingly for no purpose BUT to cause a reaction. Don't give up on your convictions though Drew. Freedom of speech is important and we should not give up on it because of a few people who may abuse it. In situations like this I am reminded of the Monty Python character, the French Taunter. His line "Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!" kind of applies to blog posts. The blogs and posts here are just as powerful as we let them be. It was offensive to read, but I chose to read it, knowing that this member's posts have become progressively more offensive. I could have at the time, and will probably in the future, just not read this person's posts. He can't offend me if I'm not there to read it. -
Chapter 31 Playing For The House
LitLover commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 31 Playing For The House
Gary is a God....of Writers!! Seriously I really enjoyed this chapter. The house sounds absolutely beautiful. I want to be invited there for the housewarming party The details you described made me feel as I was taking a guided tour. I can see in my minds eye M & K and their baby sitting by a Christmas tree by the light on the fireplace as they open presents, or playing the backyard. By the way....my baby pool vote is for twins -
Good work with the prompt. The confusion and loneliness are palpable. Where is his family? Does he ever have visitors? Did he have another stroke? So many questions.

Wow I can't believe it's over. It's been quite a ride with Barry and Dave. I am happy that Barry was able to reconnect with his kids. I was wondering how they would be reacting to so much loss in so short of a period of time. It looks like everyone's spidey sense was working overtime at New Years! I would love to hear from Dave, Barry and the gang again. Maybe a prompt response if you don''t have a sequel planned?

Happy Independence Day!! And someone needs to cue the movie

Oh dear...between that kitchen fire and this you may never be allowed near the kitchen again Effective boyfriend deterrent though

I'm out of likes right now, but I'll be sure to go back and like it later. The first person point of view works well in this story. I feel the nerves rolling off of the young you....hoping you fly under the radar. I was pretty shy and introverted in high school and the thought of speaking in public would have been enough to make me want to throw up so I feel your pain Good first chapter Drew I look forward to seeing where you take this story.

Our office voicemail says our office closed over lunch hour. We've had people leave multiple messages over that hour wondering why no one has called them back yet.

Really nice first chapter. I like the interaction between Em and Kyle. The fact that they were friends before they were boyfriends will give their relationship a stronger foundation. I look forward to seeing how the story develops. Good start Ace.

Em and Kyle are all kinds of sweet. Great prologue. I look forward to seeing what happens with Kyle's video debut

Loved this chapter CG I am so happy that Denny and Greg have talked and have made up. I am also really happy that Greg has come clean about his "telephone sex" past and about his past with Benny. I think if he found out without Greg telling him Denny would have been very upset. The two of them are incredibly sweet together though. I just hope that Benny and Linda calling out Denny for being in that field isn't going to have Denny running scared "/ Now what could Jay be planning? Curiouser and curiouser

I'm really sorry for your loss Adi

Carlos, I am glad you found writing to be therapeutic. We're certainly happy to read what you've written CG, that was a wonderful and, as Headstall said, heartfelt interview. I know you put a lot of yourself out there with every chapter that you write. The result is a wonderful story that I look forward to reading with every chapter you post. Tim, I don't know where you get the idea that your writing is dull. I have never had any complaints about anything of yours that I've read. Authors are always their own toughest critics. Congrats guys. So happy to see the three of you featured here.

All I'm Thinking About
LitLover commented on Carlos Hazday's story chapter in All I'm Thinking About
It's good to see power and money being put to some good use. Hopefully it can be used to bring to light the practices of some of what the vice squad has been getting away with. I am sure that up to now the unfortunate men these vice cops have arrested didn't have the powerful backup that CJ has to get them out of trouble. Those cops made a big error in judgement when they went after CJ. I think the Chief is going to eat to those two for lunch for potentially putting his career in jeopardy. I am worried about Tommy, but I think he'll be fine, if a little bit grumpy that he's going to be out of commission for a little while. My real concern right now is Adriano and his wife. I really hope Adriano's family is ok, but I know from the many accidents involving transports in my area that that is usually not the case. -
Great chapter with so much going on! So Randy's been throwing his own private parties on the bar's tab? How did he not think that Barry was going to find out that they were replacing way more alcohol than he recorded as sold? It must have made Barry feel like he was able to exact some revenge for Dave being shot when he was able to pass on the information about that shipment. I have no doubt that he would have a tough time talking himself out of shooting those guys if he had a gun with him. I am little worried about the ominous "feelings" that Dave is having that something big is going to happen around New Years. In Dave's line of work big often means potentially deadly

It helps to talk to someone. There are a lot of good people here who would be happy to listen...or read as the case may be.

Prompt #423--What is it?
LitLover commented on craftingmom's story chapter in Prompt #423--What is it?
It was nice to see Matt and Avery again I'm not a big fan of modern art so I can understand some of Averys difficulty trying to figure out what the heck the art is supposed to be depicting. I am sad that Matt was reminded of how bad Avery had been beaten but love that he shielded Avery from any potential bad memories if he had seen the painting. -
An intense "dust yourself off and face another day with your head held high" song Gary. Although the person had their heart broken and life knocked them down they weren't going to stay there. I could feel the person getting stronger as the song went on. By the end I wanted to pump my fist in the air and cheer knowing they were stronger in spite the adversity that tried to keep them down.

: wow Gary, when you open the door to a bedroom, you blow it off its hinges! I think Tim and his drool diverter are going to be occupied for quite some time with this chapter

LitLover replied to rustle's topic in The Lounge
It was a really heartbreaking story and highlighted how much things needed to change.
