A thousand apologies Lit. I thought I had done a review, but just realized after reading your wonderful replies, that I had not. The epilogue was a wonderful wrap up to Corey and Jason's story. As others did, I noticed that Corey did not jump to conclusions when he saw Jason and Liam together. I'm happy for him that he was able to get past that particular monkey on his back and allow himself to believe in Jason and believe in the strength and trueness of their love. Well done Lit. Well done!
Funny how I just knew it was going to be a mouse. lol The ensuing antics of all four family members was a wonderful visual in my mind. Very entertaining to say the least. What a treat, thanks tim! As always, nicely done.
Awkward moment for sure but the MC handled it really well, imo. Just the right amount of raunch to balance the seriousness of the subject. Nicely done Mr. Hazday and thanks to Mr. Google, I know what an otter is. Off topic, I think I missed chapter two of this tale has there is no Like with my name on it. Must go back and read it....
“Hey!” CJ called out, talking hold of Owen’s shirtsleeve as his dads started walking away. “Stay with me?” he asked staring, into the Aussie's red-rimmed, bright blue eyes. “Always.” Owen’s reply was so soft CJ barely heard it. *********** Sometimes, it's not what you say but how you say it. We know what Owen is really saying, don't we? Here's hoping CJ cleaned the wax out of his ears during that morning's ablutions....
I'm with B, I love this family.
CJ's discussion with his delusional mother (did what was best for him, really? Alright it did turn out that way, but it had nothing to do with her) perfectly showed how far he has come. From lonely and lost to angry, CJ is doing just fine.
Hey tim Another riveting chapter. So many things too mention but since a lot has already been said I'm just going to say this... David! How could you be so cruel and heartless towards Jae? Sure, what he did to survive was really retched, but he was trapped by circumstances beyond his control. I am relieved he came to his senses. I just hope he lives long enough to make amends with Jae. Of course, I do want David to survive for more than just making amends... As always, nicely done
HOLY CRAP!! That was awesome Def, so very awesome! I freely admit that I didn't see that coming so the blindside was total success. PS: Add in what Carlos said and my review is complete. Job well done Def, I think it's time to give up your day job...
Phew! So glad Corey was able to calm down and revisit what he witnessed with a more discerning eye. I don't doubt they'll have more bumps in the road, it's how they handle them that will be the key. I think what we witnessed here was evidence that whatever comes their way, Corey - nor Jason - will turn tail and run but stand up and face it head on. Sad to hear that only the epilogue is left but I guess that old saying is true. All good things must come to an end. As for the release date? The sooner the better, I say.
Not that kinda 'fixed'!
*****
I know that's not what you meant, but it gave me a good chuckle...and you know what they say about endorphins flowing.
I am very very happy to hear that a "fix" is finally on your horizon. Good luck to you my friend and I hope your recovery is uneventful and quick.
Hey tim With every chapter I read I find myself liking and caring about Dave, Jae, Barry and his sons more than I did before. I don't know what's going to happen with Sam's group but, it looks promising at this point. Now if only the marauders change course...perhaps a fallen forest or a raging river to block their path? Keep up the good work tim.
Just when I thought Jason had dodged the bullet named Luc.... I'm sure that he and Corey will get past that incident, but it's going to be a rocky road, I fear. Sad for the both of them.
For CJ's sake, I'm glad the stepfather didn't report that soldier. I wonder, will he will ever realize the precarious position he put himself in by that inaction?
