Very impressive cliffhanger!!! Found myself looking like one of those old cartoon characters burning the soles of my shoes, trying to put the brakes on to keep from falling off said "cliff" in search of the indentity of the mysterious "relative" of Jeff!!! I'm not sure it's a woman though, because a woman would have rearranged those hateful lips, the minute she would have tried to spit on her brother!!! ...just saying!! Awesome chapter including the beautiful description of the long awaited heat between Ray and Daniel... Ok, going to await the next nail-biting chapter

Fan-frickin-tastic!!! This story is addictive, and it would be great if you'd cover all the holidays !! Just a thought...but this IS one of those "can't wait for the next chapter" stories...hoping to see the mayor and chief's trials and how wonderful they've "adapted" to their cellmates... Also, sooo liking the development of Raymond and Daniels' storyline!!!

Awww..fabulous chapter, of course...but I too, would have loved to have seen the "good" sheriff suffer a "tiny" bit...like being neutered by his rape victim and being thrown in with a few 'Bubbas' to receive the same 'lovemaking' he so generously handed out!!! But...I also love your quick and efficient manner of disposing of garbage.. I know you don't like leaving us teetering on the cliff's edge, however...making us wait on dealing with his partner in crime, "the ever lovable Mayor", is a bit like nudging us over to look over the cliff's edge, don't cha think?? ...Anywhoooo...LOVE THIS CHAPTER!!!

Loving this story, the characters are so lively and fun...they actually draw us in, as if not wanting us to be left out of any scene!!! I wouldn't call you the President of cliffhangers...more like the CEO...

I agree with Ash, about the 'proof-reading' aspect, but make no mistake, it in no way lessens the interest in what is proving to be an excellent storyline!!! Your description of the characters could be a tiny bit more detailed, giving us a bit more incite into their actions and reactions...nevertheless, I'm loving the story so far!! I'm sure you will make us love these characters, you have the potential, the ability, and the imagination!!!!

While I respect your opinion and agree with certain aspects...I must agree with CJ, police departments and law enforcement are not innocents and certainly, every recording should be scrutinized, analyzed to come up with an excuse for why murders continue be done by the "thin blue line"...it's just another opinion of how respect should be shown to those who have no respect for innocent lives...be they the thin blue line lives or the frustrated black lives...both are on the line every single day we walk out the door!! Respect is not earned because you CHOOSE to take a dangerous job...it's earned when you do that job with integrity, honesty and respect for the job!! Racism is alive and well in this country...sweeping it under the rug with platitudes and hiding our heads in the sand and pretending that a problem is "really not a problem at all" does nothing but create more divisions and hatred! Hopefully we can at least agree to disagree...without bullets flying for no good reason...except to take another human life!! Just another 'opinion' here...

Geeezzzzz Wolf... trying to come to grips with not looking forward to your Monday updates of love, suspense, and adventure...what shall we do??? Great chapter...now we not only have Denise and the Mom that never quits, to worry about, but you've now thrown the unforgiving, axe to grind Thomas into the mix!! And I'll stake all of my last $2 on the Senator being behind Shane's "accident"!!! In any case, happy that Shane's going to stay with Jason...so they can continue to work on their "reunion", he just needs to establish some "stay the hell away" boundaries with deluded Denise and demanding Mom!! Awesome job, Mitchell!!!

Love the way you write...but am having an extremely hard time trying to find any type of good feelings at all for your main character!!! He seems maniacal, a bit bi-polarish...and certainly not a character that I would be routing for in the end to come out on top!! I find myself hoping Eli will find someone that's able to match his kindness, his capacity to love, his grace and dignity...that is NOT Jamie at all!! Excellent style of writing, though!!
