    Chapter 1

Okay, @Myr -- You are posting chapter 2 in less than 24 hours, right? Good story. Great cliffhanger.
  2. Wow, more good story leads!

    Chapter 1

@JeffreyL, to find an author's stories quickly, hold your cursor over the circle with the author's symbol and click. This gets you to the profile of the person. One of the fields there is "Stories" and if you click on that, it gives you a listing of that person's published stories on GA. Another was is to go to the "Authors" tab on the GA home page (or at the tope of many GA pages) and click that. Then, on the search bar right under the word Stories, enter the Gay Authors name of the author for whom you wish to search out stories and enter. If there are multiple stories for that author, there may be page numbers indicating there are multiple pages of story listing for that author. Have fun!

    Chapter 1

Good story, @chris191070 and @hankster. (I noticed Hankster is the co-copyright owner, so must have worked with you on the story.) I liked the characters and the story. I also liked the description of the dinner Todd cooked. As a chef, Chris, I know you can definitely identify with that.
  5. Good story.
  6. I put mine on "vibrate only." With two members of my family having major medical issues, I have to be aware.
  7. Suffragette means "a female advocate of the right of women to vote, especially one who participated in protests in the United Kingdom in the early 20th century or one who participated in protests in the United States in the late 19th century and early 20th century." It is not connected to prostitution or harlotry at all.

    Batch 44

@astone2292, this chapter was even better than the first. There was something specific in this chapter I was going to comment on, and no one else has commented on it yet. But I got majorly interrupted as I was about to write it down, and will have to write it later if I find it again when I re-read the chapter in a day or three. Loving this story.
  9. As far as the current status of stories, with the links provided it is easy to click on each one and see the current status of a story. In some cases, if a story has 50 or a hundred chapters and is listed as Temporary Hold, Long Term Hold, or complete, the story is probably worth reading or it is unlikely to have produced that many chapters thus far. @Myr, I certainly appreciate these looks at various genres and sub-genres.

How did you and Hankster end up working in cooperation with each other? I predict there is an interesting story there, @chris191070 and @hankster.
  11. Updated post regarding the future of AwesomeDude, posted by Alien Son (John) on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023: https://forums.awesomedude.com/topic/72248-what-does-the-future-hold-for-awesomedude/ It also points out the problem(s) of not having an already defined succession plan in place.
  12. There are certainly some good stories and authors on this list -- Geron Kees, dkstories, Myr, W.L., R. Eric, AC Benus, Thorne Wilde, astone2292, Bill W., Laura S. Fox, Lomax61, Rob Colton, Headstall, Mawgrim, and now I have more authors to try. Thank you, @Myr, for posting this list.

    Chapter 1

Hey, great story. Now for the possible sequels -- John and Cindi have a surprise baby. Everyone in the family celebrates. Luke and Ben arrange surrogate pregnancies, and begin a journey of parenting. John and Luke and Ben have a big case with an important client and must work together -- But if no sequel appears, it is still a wonderful story. Well worth reading and enjoying.
  14. I notice there are two authors and one editor listed -- @chris191070 and @hankster. Superb collaboration, guys! Now, as for this wonderful story and its (hopefully) upcoming sequels, (See the end of chapter comments for my suggested sequel possibilities.) An enjoyable story of work, family, family forgiveness, and redemption -- and love. Well worth reading. I have known a few love at first sight stories IRL (in real life), and most worked out. Well done.

  15. This is a really good story. I have read it several times and each time see something I had previously missed or not completely understood. @JamesSavik seems always to be able to put "layers of meaning" into his stories, though the story be long, medium, or almost flash [1000 words or less] or drabble [exactly 100 words] short.
  16. Several good stories on that list. One of the funniest is the first listed as -- Top 10 Most read -- Surreal Comedy. "Why is your underwear in the swimming pool" is hilarious! I would really appreciate it if @wildone would write a sequel.
  17. @chris191070 and @Backwoods Boy -- AwesomeDude (Mike) has been in poor health and "Alien Son" ran the site for several months. Mike is back at the helm now, but still healing somewhat. Pee Jay has stories on CodeysWorld dot com and on Tickiestories.
  18. I am not sure either. I still have not heard from the webmaster at TickieStories, "Pee Jay."

    Tattle Tale

This is a twist I had not imagined, but it is not really surprising in today's world where everyone with a smartphone thinks they are a reporter. Everyone thinks they know the whole truth, but usually only know a part of the truth -- and often not the more significant parts of the truth. @R. Eric -- this opens up fantastic opportunities for the story.
  20. Excellent points, @Geron Kees. I frequent a website owned by a citizen of the UK but hosted in the US. The owner of the site has stated that he has a succession plan in place. At least two persons have access to the backend of the site, and, I assume, the financials, since the other person ran it for a time when the owner had major health issues. Because of hosting permissions, author permissions, legal issues, and who knows what else, assuming another site's stories and other duties could be fraught with legal and financial peril, not to mention the proverbial red tape.
  21. Wow, @Myr, this is a fascinating feature. How often will this feature appear, or has that yet been decided? It also gives me some more stories to pursue.
  22. Someone could have access to the website's back end, and not have access to the financials to keep the site up and running. If only one person has control of the financials to pay for the web access, the site could still go down. I see this as a potential downfall for many sites, eventually. Thankfully, sites like GA have backup plans in place. However, I am guessing many smaller sites do not have such.
  23. I have emailed "Pee Jay", the TickieStories webmaster, to see if the late Chuck had a succession plan. If I find out anything, I will post what I can here. @Mancunian -- @chris191070 -- @Backwoods Boy -- @Bill W -- @Geron Kees -- @Ajbt2001 -- @raven1 -- @Zombie -- @Dhpiet77
  24. Try looking at archiveofourown dot org and enter boywives into their search bar. Archive of Our Own can also be reached at Ao3 dot org. Those stories would, I am almost certain, never be allowed on GA because of intergenerational relations in them. I can tell I will not be reading those particular stories; I have many favorite authors already that write other stories.
  25. @Bill W, you are correct on this. Not only do more sites mean more possibilities for a story remaining on the web, but more sites mean more potential readers. I only know of three sites which I KNOW have succession plans -- two of which are GA and Storylover dot us. Probably there are more -- but I do not know for sure.
