    Chapter 1

I liked this poem very much. So much was packed into so few words.

    Night

I really liked this one. It strikes a chord with me.

    Chapter 1

I know it's only Labor Day, but I really enjoyed reading this story. You had me wondering what was going on, and kept me guessing, even as the vivid characters you created entertained me.
  4. You’re very kind. These took a long, long time to come together, with many false starts. I’m very grateful you took time to read these. Your thoughts are really encouraging.

    The Voice

I can only offer you my support as you work your way through this. Hugs always.

    Open Call

I’m celebrating with Michael and Blaine! Chipper’s a gold star contestant!

    Prologue

Seeing this made me smile a mile wide. I have missed these characters.
  8. Thank you for reading these. I’m very glad Clay struck a chord with you. Things will come round right, I know. I’m grateful for your kind thoughts and hugs.
  9. You're right in that; and your words are a hug. Thanks.
  10. Thank you for reading these. I am very glad Colorfast appealed to you. That fabric metaphor is a favorite. Then again, I'm a sucker for textiles.
  11. You are so very kind to read these, and to comment. Summer's waning has so much color and texture, they yearn to be written; and there are so many who seem intent on erasing us, draining us of who we are. I am glad you think these flowed well.
  12. I'm very grateful you read these, and very happy you think they're effective. The opening lines to Colorfast kept repeating themselves in my head. Finally, they showed me where to go. Thank you for your thoughts and encouragement.
  13. Thank you, tim. The last six lines of Colorfast took many days to form. They finally came together over the weekend. xo - P
  14. Clay Discarded and forgotten in the shed, they lie as dusty bones of summers past their once-bright flowers withered, crumbled, dead and frozen by an icy winter’s blast; now filled with dirt depleted of its worth, mere chipped and damaged vessels made of clay, they have no seed to bring new life its birth or hasten beauty to the light of day. So am I like that broken, useless pot, reminder of those months beneath the sun

    Tuesday

Matthew has tried manipulation and telephone bullying. Let us hope he knows nothing about firearms. It’s definitely time for Simon’s mum to change phone numbers. Can she get an order of restraint, too?

    Mine

Wow. So much happening in this chapter. Daniel submits to Joan; Evan prepares, and Shawn is drawn into what is becoming Jed’s pack. I’m very intrigued.

    Beneath the Skin

This is delightful, beautiful. Thank you for it.

    Making Ready

I really like the world you are building. You are wonderfully good about including details of language and daily living - the names of the flowers stood out to me right away - so it feels so very real. You have me guessing about what the journey ahead holds for Stravor and Keter. I suspect it may be a journey that changes both their lives.
  19. You’re very, very welcome. Andy inspires me too, often when I’m tired and want to just plop down and quit. It makes me glad to know you see him as I do. Thanks so much for your comment.
  20. I’m immensely grateful you followed Andy’s journey to its end. Knowing that someone else connected with him and with Zander makes me smile. You’ll also find a couple of added snapshot stories, just little short things, in which Andy and Zander appear. I hope they will inhabit your heart quite as much as they do mine. Thank you very much.

    Chapter 1

Limits are always fun to teach, especially taking an intuitive approach. And Sean certainly is taking an interesting and perhaps intuitive approach to Tyler himself. At what point will they become sufficiently close that they reach unity (for all practical purposes)?

    Discontent

I think this one strikes a deep chord with me. You highlight so many things I observe in myself - my patience wearing thin, and the minutes in a mysterious hurry, especially. And the bleating you perfectly express is something I seem to hear more and more. Thank you for letting me know I’m not alone.
  23. I’m really happy you’re going to try this. I send you my hopes for a great success.

    Euphoria

And now I just see me. That’s a perfect final line; not everyone can say that. Not feeling the truth drain out of the day as one walks out the door must be a fantastic sensation. This is beautiful.
  25. Awesome start to a tale I’m going to want more of. As you do often do, you make all kinds of ideas spring to life as I read. Who or what is Hemothacene? And young Keter? What is the secret depth of this beguiling young man? My hat is off to you for a great first chapter.
