  1. Thanks again for another tale to warm my heart on a long winter night under the half moon. It was quite beautiful.

Thank you for another installment. Thanks also for plugging a favorite movie of mine. I would be interested in a full enumeration of CJ’s Commandments. You’ll have to post them someday.
  3. Thanks for a further snapshot of their lives. I enjoyed the rides!
  4. I had to actually wait 12 whole hours before I had a moment to read this. It was worth the anticipation. What a great story!
  5. Sadness and sweetness, shame and memory bound together in one place, in one missing man. You let us see it all, and consider the fractures mending while the boys discover the flavor of their dad. This was beautiful.
  6. It did, very much.
  7. I very much enjoyed this! Imagining Cindy Lou Who at 57 made be laugh.
  8. Thank you for another sweet Christmas treat. This was very lovely. I’m glad Rio and Mikel got a second chance.

    Alan's story

I agree with @Carlos Hazday that regrets are hard things to live with. Thank you for writing a tale of grace and hope.
  10. Amazing uncles to the rescue! This was great fun to read, and exciting, too. Just how much trouble is Felicity going to be in one day soon?

I enjoyed watching CJ at work, advancing his idea, and working his contacts to make it happen. Hopefully, his supervisor is only minimally miffed. Thanks for a lovely outing to the rugger pitch, too. Calum is a fun character. He'll catch up with Austin sooner or later. And CJ doing as instructed? Oh, my.
  12. Not sure why my ear is fixed upon this today - maybe it's the impending day of exam-grading coming up...
  13. I love tales of reconciliation. That there is a gate is a sign of hope. If only grandfather had named someone outside the family as executor of his will. I’d be interested in know how or if Evie’s relationship with her parents has changed. Thanks for this.

I’ve always wanted to keep hens, but I always chicken out. Great story!
  15. I was moved by Loris’ devotion to his Dante. There was nothing that kept him from his course, to love Dante through his grief. This was beautiful. Thank you.
  16. You have my congratulations for practicing aikido; I’ve seen it demonstrated only once, but was impressed.
  17. That’s a lovely, sweet story! I love the explanation and the budding friendships. I know I shall have the Twelve Days of Christmas stuck in my head for a while.
  18. I agree with @Headstall; this sounds like my travails in writing. Or perhaps differential equations. You capture the frustration of tackling unknowns with more unknowns remarkably well.
  19. You carry me, riding on the back of your poem, along that dark road. My heart goes with you.

It’s a good thing CJ is practicing self-defense. Northam is likely to attack in frustration someday, or perhaps arrange something unpleasant for his magnetic underling. Great chapter! I’m sure after Liebe’s bedtime they will have some playtime of their own.

Sandra summed it up for me: Eric is indeed special. Let’s hope Rob sees this too.

    Sprain

I feel adrenaline rush and hurt; your poem brings me directly into the action.
  25. Something for a grey December day. The Gloria still sends chills up my spine, decades after singing it for the first time.
