I am all for second chances, and didn't that work out well for Anthony! This story was really enjoyable! And you ticked all my boxes: likeable characters, a good plot, a little conflict, a little lust, well written dialogue, descriptions that put you in the scene, and a positive ending for all three characters. Thank you. It's always a pleasure to read one of your stories!

Not all redheads have a temper
JeffreyL commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Not all redheads have a temper
Great story! Interesting characters and a nice romance. Good pacing and dialogue. And bonus points for Grandma! She is a fun character! It makes a good short story, but I would enjoy reading more about these two. I need to go back and read stories one and two to find out about the fire extinguisher. Thanks. -
Reminiscing About the Future
JeffreyL commented on Altimexis's story chapter in Reminiscing About the Future
I really enjoyed these characters and their story! This works as a short story, and it ended at a good place. That being said, I would enjoy reading more about Jeff and Paul, and the group of genius kids that are friends with Seth. Thanks. -
I enjoyed your ramblings, even though I felt bad about your anxiety. Yours is a world I know little about, but at the end of the day we're all just people. We have good and bad days, and deal with insecurities. If rambling helps you make sense of life or reflect, keep on rambling. I will be around to read it. Thanks.

Stanley is a great addition to your cast of characters! I love the way he interacts with Kent. I also like the growing friendship between Nate and Chris. I'll repeat what others have said: I really liked the beard trimming scene. Rather erotic! If Tad's cancer kicks in Nate and Chris can care for him, mourn him, and fall in love. You have created some great characters, and I am really enjoying their story! Thanks.

Making Changes - Taking Chances
JeffreyL commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Making Changes - Taking Chances
There are so many wonderful characters in the Barnstable Chronicles that it would be hard to pick a favorite or two. Charlie is one I have liked since he first showed up. I really enjoyed this story about Charlie, David, and Noah! I am certain I will enjoy whatever you write next. Thank you. -
I am a bit sorry that this is the end of Adam and Juha stories. They are terrific characters! This was a good way to end: a great pride story, a pleasant meeting with the parents, and a well written evening at the beach. Most enjoyable! Thank you.

Some sauna and some sex with two engaging characters is a lot of fun. I finished the first story with Adam and Juha, and now the second story is done. It was great to see them catch up and talk about being a couple. Thanks. It's late here so I will catch the third story tomorrow.

It's nice to see my favorite curmudgeon getting out on his own and taking "risks" he never would have thought of before Andy. I also enjoyed Andy's phone conversation with Adam. You keep fleshing them out as people and as a couple, and I find them both even more likeable. Thanks.

I just finished reading both stories. Thanks for posting them together here. I want to say how much I enjoyed both stories, but because of the somewhat somber tone, enjoyed doesn't seem to be the proper word. Both were well written, with well developed characters and good dialogue. I especially liked the ending of part two. It makes me glad to know Jake will get past his grief and move on.

Well Carlos, you did an amazing job with your pacing and dialogue! I wondered about Christina's story, and you handled the aftermath and divorce quickly and simply. Exactly right for me. The reactions to the birth and the dialogue before and after were spot on. It will be interesting to see how Owen and CJ adapt to parenthood. This was a most enjoyable chapter! Thank you.

Thanks Wayne! This was a lot of fun! The word clever comes to mind.

It was starting to feel a bit like things were going in circles, and I don't exactly know why. Thank you for finally sharing what happened between Chris and Tad. I am not certain how I feel. I will need some time to process. Of course part of me wants to shake them both and say stop pretending you are characters in a story, talk to each other, and work it out. After all you both love each other.

La petit mort in French translates as the little death. When I googled it to double check, Wikipedia said it was first used in English in the 1500s, and it originally referred to a fainting spell or something similar. In more recent times it is used to refer to an orgasm.

Thanks for sharing this, and congratulations on a good job of rhyming! I enjoy looking for words that rhyme. When I was teaching I found a really good rhyming dictionary to use when helping my students. I don't remember rules about publishing poems. With a story made of couplets, like you have done, do they ever get written with a line skipped between each couplet?

Metre Prompt - Sweet Alligator
JeffreyL commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Metre Prompt - Sweet Alligator
This is a fun little poem! You did a great job fitting your words to the metre in the example. Thanks. -
You did an especially good job on the dialogue in this chapter! I really liked the phone conversation with Ezra. Artie is a great character! I like the way he is growing as a person and assimilating into San Francisco culture. He still has some naivete about him, and I think that makes very likeable. Thanks.

What a great story! I loved the characters, dialogue, and descriptions! I am sorry it has to end. I look forward to Jarren's story. I am glad you decided to follow your muse and start writing. Thanks, and don't stop.

Your writing is always high quality. When I see your name as the author, I always read what you've written.

As always, this is well written. And certainly contains a lot of food for thought. Thanks.

You've Got A Friend in Me
JeffreyL commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in You've Got A Friend in Me
I haven't said it for awhile, but you create some of the most interesting and enjoyable characters! I love the way this extended family (not necessarily the blood relation kind) tend to love and support each other. Thanks. -
The wedding was perfect and worth the wait! I am going to miss these characters. I would be happy to read another story that included them. You created some wonderful characters and an enjoyable story. Thanks. P.S. Could you share a more specific recipe for the apple topping? How many cups of chopped apple, water, and Fireball? This cheesecake sounds like it's to die for!

Chapter 1 Fly Me to the Moon
JeffreyL commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 1 Fly Me to the Moon
I enjoyed every word! This was beautifully written; romantic and sweet in the best meaning of the word. I agree with Marty's comment about what broke them apart. I also think more information would have changed the feel of the story. Thanks.- 62 comments
