I hate to admit I went back to the beginning and re-read this story. I had kind of forgotten how much I absolutely loved these characters and this story. Except for three very dark chapters in the middle. This latest chapter was great and hints at the possibility that Mick will be able to put Lester and all that abuse behind himself. Thanks for continuing to write in spite of being very busy with school. Oh, and I wanted to mention I have a sore tooth. Any chance I can make an appointment? 😉

What fun to get a visit from Sebastian and Reginald so soon after finishing "Sebastian Sanspere!" I got a laugh at Henry, but sadly real zealots act a lot like him. Thanks for this amusing, but also thought provoking story.

I really like Eric, and I feel badly for him. It must be tough to get older without any support. You do a good job portraying his emotions from happy to angry and back again. I like the way Andy is beginning to understand how Eric thinks and how to read him. Thank you.

Not many words, but lots of emotion, and well written as always. Even though she had a smaller part in the story, Liz had a big role in Owen and CJ's lives. She will be missed. Thank you. -
Another good chapter. It was great to see Cid and Billy put aside their past and agree to be friends.

Sebastian leads a delightfully bizarre cast of characters in this very entertaining story! I am not certain how it should be labelled. There is mystery, tragedy, comedy, romance, and some violence. Sebastian is a rather unique schoolboy who leads an unusual life. He begins to question what is happening in his life and has several adventures as he tries to find out what is going on. The more I read, the more I enjoyed it!

You have made a good story with great characters less enjoyable with this chapter and the last. I didn't need all the ghastly detail you provided. I skimmed both chapters to get the gist of what happened, but even that was too much for me. I know you provided content warnings at the beginning of the chapter, so I guess that absolves you of responsibility. I will continue to read because I really like Nate. Sadly I have at least one more chapter to skim through before (hopefully) we can leave the extreme abuse behind.

This sci-fi/fantasy is a must read in my opinion. The main characters, Gabe and Ryle, are compelling characters. Gabe is the Captain's son, who does not believe in slavery. Ryle is a bird man who is purchased to be his companion. How they both came to be on this space ship and how their relationship grows is the heart of this story. There is a lot of action and drama. The supporting characters are interesting in their own right and not just cardboard cutouts. I highly recommend this well written story.

I was pleased with Gavin and Vic's reunion. Their parting was amicable, so I am not surprised things went well. Alex was a surprise, but in gay fiction, as in life, strange things happen. Thanks.

Well I actually predicted the background check in a comment to an early chapter. The dominant behavior was pretty clear almost from the time we first met Greg. Chris' reaction to this revelation is interesting; much calmer than I would have expected. It will be interesting to see how he responds. I know there are controlling people in the real world. Is this level of need to control real? I think Greg is already trying to follow the psychologist's advice about meeting half way. It would explain some of the changes in his behavior. Thanks for more of this good story, and for a "plot twist" I wasn't expecting!

I snuck in two more chapters at bedtime last night. And now to be up and get in a chapter before breakfast! Hooray! Great chapter! I'll say it again, "I love these characters!" You have done a great job fleshing them out into real people with realistic dialogue! Someone else commented about Gabe influencing the Captain to be a better person. I think Captain and Ryle have both been influenced, in a positive way, by Gabe. Thank you.

I am late to find this story. The good part is it is complete, so there will be no waiting for chapters! I have binged the first seven chapters and enjoyed every minute! The bird man, Ryle, is a great character! Bird people have been around in fiction before, but you have written a unique and interesting person. And Gabe is a great combination of his parents! Unfortunately, I need to get back to the real world, so I must stop reading for now. Thank you for sharing this most enjoyable story.

I have never served on a jury. Nor have I been in a courtroom, except one time many years ago as a chaperone on a school field trip. This seems like an insiders point of view. Are you a lawyer, judge, or court room employee? Just curious. I continue to really enjoy your story! Thank you.
