This author does a great job creating dramatic tension. I'm always on edge that he'll be discovered in some horrible manner.

You are not alone. You are in pain. Writing is an excellent outlet. I encourage you to share this pain through writing with the community here in hopes that we can life part of your burden. Remember that no feeling lasts forever and that things WILL improve. Its just going to suck painfully for a long time until it does. Peace, Brother.

I've been following this and the previous story and enjoying them, but I did not care for this chapter. The part about the audio remasters was cool, though. It seems to me that the characters don't sound like boys anymore (even high-intelligence ones), they sound like men in their 30s-50s.

This story was so gay it was like a whole new level of gay that you discovered. It went from thirteen year old boys to granite countertops in just 15 brief chapters. It was shocking like an old melodrama soap opera and kept me turning pages.....

Good points. I'm worried that internet porn takes impressionable teens to fetishes and extreme sex acts very quickly. The total availability also gets them very used to typical sex acts, lacks eros & tenderness, and increases their stimulation threshold. I almost wish there were a 'teen porn' not of young people but directed towards them that would somehow be curated. That's probably not realistic. Finding Dad's old magazines or an occasional film put some natural limits on things - not so today. One of the first things (or fist things?) the kid in this story saw was fisting. I also applaud authors like Comicality on GA, awesomedude & nifty because they deal with feelings, are often about love and engage the young reader's imagination. I would much rather seen young people on these story sites than watching porn vids.

That part about the hair in the 70s was so hilarious. This is an excellent description of what someone is likely to see. Fresh!

there certainly are several interesting directions this story could be going in. I have no idea which one will happen - this is kind of fun.

This is so cool. I never thought I'd be so entertained by descriptions of bathrooms and bedrooms but i liked it. I'm anticipating most exciting things to come. Thanks for resuming this storyline.

I really like that so many exotic places are being described, and they are all south of the Equator - something that is uncommon to read about. Stanley probably isn't the most exciting place to visit after so many hours of travel but I'm sure a marine biologist would see it very differently.

This could be a setup for a very interesting story. I have to admit that I've read this first chapter about 4 times and had a tough going of it. It's a lot to absorb and very little going on with the characters. I assume this is to set up the world and the ship. Reading on....

This story was so goofy and fun. The part with Lucifer's parents made for an amazing closer. Thanks for writing it.

I'm thinking of writing a story after being a lurker here. I'm kind of scared, though. I think like @droughtquake, I'm worried about the dialogue. Not sure whether to go 1st or 3rd person narrative either. I guess the only way to know for sure is to take the leap....

Okay, so I guess this Kroger's isn't the supermarket chain... That said, there is something just so positive and fun and exciting about this story. Well done so far.

I've never heard of Kroger being described in such upscale terms, but I always loved the Kroger; especially the Big K red cream soda. Fantasy dept? Intriguing....

I know a lot of the stories here start like this. I also understand that getting kicked out like this does happen, but how likely is it going to happen with the gay youth not having any idea how his father would react at all? Just a question. I'm interested in the community's thoughts on this. By the way, this isa well written chapter and I'm ready to read on...

Interesting questions brought up here; both for the relationship and the box... I'm not sure how natural the mother sounded - the friend coming out to his Dad, based on the description he provided, would probably be a very bad idea at 14 since he is more vulnerable and has fewer options then. Plus, they are still maturing and learning about themselves - it might be good to let that firm up. At 17, it might be ok.

Great story as usual from DK. I was about to chastise the negative description of the Arizona desert, but read on to discover that that was just the impression of the evil side of Worthington/Billie. The Sonoran desert is green and beautiful in a way that is unique to this world - it is almost otherworldly. Basements are very rare in Arizona but I guess one is possible with a multi-level house on the side of a mountain. The author clearly knows the Scottsdale/Phoenix area reasonably well. It was a lot of fun to read those places.
