What a wonderful surprise! The characters are complex and engaging, I'm hoping that Eric is able to give Michael some hope for a future, and give Pete some usefulness back. I didn't have any railroad nostalgia, but I love miniatures!

Wow! Adventure always finds CJ and Owen. This was an exciting chapter, CJ will be held in even higher esteem by the Presidente than before. I am giggling thinking of Jay watching the eventual press conference for the announcement!

Things are finally looking up for Beckett! Perhaps Valrinda will be a little more forthcoming, seeing as they are bonded. @drpaladinhas a great point, this temporary journey may not turn out quite so temporary.

I don't think any defections are in the works, I think the Cubans are quietly choosing CJ to change the relationship between Cuba and the US. And I definitely think his picture will be in that wall! Happy Birthday!

While I agree that Dane is a jerk for the way he ended their relationship, I can't blame him for not wanting to be with such a clingy, obsessed person. I can't stand Jim. This is a well-written story but I don't like the self absorbed, woe-is-me main character. I just can't relate to him. Thank you for your previous responses but I think I'll leave this one.

I just want to shout “get over it” to Jim! Because I’m really close to being over Jim! So far it’s been a lot of eye rolling over his perceived tragedy.

I’m trying not to look at Jim as a sad tragic character but every time he brings up Dane as his one and only, for all eternity love of his life, I can’t stop thinking he is a 14 year old.

According to the synopsis and reviews we don't know who was driving until the end, even though it appears cut and dry now. I'm looking forward to the mystery!

Thank you for the exciting, fast-paced story! This was a satisfying ending, I don't think anyone thought that Aleck and Grier would quietly fade into the background.

I got my initial wish for Graviel, Kaye, and Roman to die. But I find that I'm a little sad that Graviel died, although very satisfied that he was the one to kill Kaye!

I'm still not sure about letting Graviel live. Regardless of his deception, he purposely sent Kaye after Grier and Aleck. I have no reservations about killing Roman or Kaye.

I don't think Aleck and Grier (and Keev) will be safe unless Graviel, Kaye, and Roman are dead.

I'm very lucky to only have to imagine what Aleck and Amelia went through, I hope that Aleck got his grandfather and Amelia's father good! I can see a little better now why he is so resistant to Graviel betraying him.

I think I'll like Keev, his father doesn't sound much better than Graviel, though.

I'll add Kaye to the currently two person list of people I hope die a painful death. I wonder how many agents are unable to think for themselves, blindly following Graviel.

OMG! I promise I didn't read ahead or remember that last scene from my previous reading years ago. My comment from the last chapter couldn't be more appropriate! Is Graviel someone who started out trying to do good and was corrupted over time? That still doesn't explain the hated, despicable use of monitors. He seems to feel guilt, but that doesn't excuse horrible behavior. As for Aleck, I hope Grier can talk some sense into him.
