I can get on that bandwagon right now! Hmmm, wild horse shifters, native Americans, shamans????? Get that big brain working! -
Chapter 18: First Fling

I'm loving this couple! Bears and wolves and blowjobs, oh my! Keep it coming! -
I was originally on the "why does Alec have to be the one to sacrifice" side. I've decided that there shouldn't be a war between two sides. Just like in real life, relationships require both sides to sacrifice, if they want it to work. I agree that Alec needs to learn to live with his triggers, he kind of did that over the years in Washington. He can handle being touched now and he doesn't have a panic attack if he's around more than a hand full of people. He could do the same thing again in Iowa, it would just be a lot harder due to many more triggers. Does he want to change enough? Can he stop the negative and self destructive thoughts long enough to decide he is good enough to have a relationship? I hope so.

@drsawzallI had the same thought about the one who's named should not be spoken! Look at the good side, we get to relive his spectacular, fiery plunge! Nice to see the boys are handling their minor celebrity and getting plenty of food.

I think that Ases might be correct, the reactions of the Kardoval suggest that they are suspect. They were only concerned with criticizing Garjah and separating him from his mate, not with the welfare of their citizens. I also agree with Garjah, investigating with an open mind is the only way to not miss clues and suspects. When Garjah and Seedrah find the person(s) responsible for the launch, they can figure out who ordered it. I think Bouncer would be a great "bad cop" in an interrogation room!

I just stared at the screen in confusion for a few moments, then decided it was meant to be. Keep in mind that I'm not a superstitious person, or prone to "big brother" conspiracy theories, anymore than the average person. Perhaps you figured out how to get Jack's ghost to communicate through my kindle! 😱

Please let it be Bob the builder's!

My current best guesses on who "they" is : Trevor, Jenny, and/or Bob the builder. I don't know if it's a sign or a weird coincidence, but when I typed the colon in the last sentence on my kindle, one of the word suggestions (the only suggestion that was not an article) was Trevor! It didn't even give me Trevor as a choice just now until I typed trevo! I know what Cynthia would say!

Terry is well and truly down the rabbit hole! Fortunately, he has Dan and Cynthia to pull him back out.

When a Compromise Is No Compromise At All
CincyKris commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in When a Compromise Is No Compromise At All
Loren needed this wake-up call or he will turn into Jay's mom. Much loved by all around them, but living only by their own rules, and being placated by all their loved ones. Loren was the one to spot that behavior in someone else, but can't see it in himself. We know they get back together eventually, but hopefully it happens because Loren comes to this realization, not because Jay caves.- 151 comments

I've enjoyed Eric's journey into the modern world. His transformation from a lonely, bitter, completely out of touch old man to a man with close friends, a comfortable home, and a purpose in life. He even has a computer and a phone! I love that he generally doesn't know how to use them and is still crabby as hell. Eric feels like a real person and I will miss him.

Elpidio's name was bandied around by us in previous comments. How does it feel to have such intelligent readers? I know we Liebe back in great shape, we know Lincoln is still around years from now, we don't know if CJ is hurt, but we know he'll be ok. And more famous.

This is a fast-paced, exciting read. The author does a fantastic job of creating a sense of urgency and realism. Even though our technology and world events have changed a bit since this was published, it felt timely and cautionary.

Great story, I just read it for the first time.

I loved the interactions between Loe and Aido, they were kind of a team of two. Seamus, Matt, and the Tot were a team of three. Jay was the referee. We already know the outcome of Mexico, but we are going in with a new perspective. I'm very apprehensive about the big twin reunion. I agree with @drsawzall, Lars seemed a little more "I'm the victim" than "I'm sorry".

Chapter 16: Diverging Destiny
CincyKris commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 16: Diverging Destiny
Yes!!! Dirk's bear is back, and his mate is his coworker. Good thing he didn't spring for that gym membership yet! Also, note to Tina -- too bad, so sad, another one lost to the better team! -
I couldn't agree more. At least we can rule out anyone currently working at the cinema, except for Colin. Still, I can't see Colin stealing an SUV and running a sick old man down in front of the place he works. Terry needs to be very careful. I'm not sure why, but I feel a little relieved that the police know the story (sort of). It's not going to help poor Maurice be less dead, or put Terry and Dan in less danger. We desperately need a seance!

Chapter 20: Heart to Heart
CincyKris commented on Demiurge's story chapter in Chapter 20: Heart to Heart
I truly don't care whether they settle in Iowa, Washington, or somewhere else. I just think it was a little one-sided that everyone but @Geemeedeeand myself assumed that it was going to be Alec that uprooted his life and moved. People live their own lives away from the small town and families they grew up in all the time. It doesn't mean they are cutting their family out of their lives. This town is not a prison (although it certainly was to Alec and River at one time). -

Then it's a good thing he's partnered with a software and gaming developer. -

I agree completely with @Geemeedee, why can't Finn move to Washington? He is a partner in the gym, he can be a financial partner from anywhere in the world. They can hire another trainer. I guarantee that if Milo knew that Finn was currently using him as an excuse to break things off with Alec, he would kick his ass. As for what is waiting for Alec in Washington: his house, his friends, his job. His whole life is not summed up by his sexual relationships. Why should Alec be the one who gives up everything? Also, this is not a 100 years ago! With planes, skype, FaceTime Finn can keep in close contact with his family. Millions of people do it everyday. -
I'm hoping the mention in an earlier chapter of the extinction event 250 million years ago is not related!

Just started reading this post-covid. The mention of a potential pandemic causing such a response was not entirely off the mark. Great story so far.

I can't decide whether Timok is a more aggressive version of Essell's father (completely consumed by his profession) or more sinister. I guess we'll find out eventually. Let's hope Essell doesn't get drunk and do something embarrassing. Let's also hope that if the Kardoval try something evil that Bouncer does to them what he did to the pillow!
