I feel like there might have been an important clue swimming around with the red herrings, but I haven't quite hooked it yet. Jenny? Still can't quite see Silvia, or Brenda as a murderer. I think the burglary is important. Maybe. I need to let it settle in my head a little more, hopefully your other readers picked up a clue I missed.

I agree with most of the comments, but have a little different take on Alec than some of the more negative comments. I don't think he was "wallowing in self-pity", it sounds like he worked pretty hard with mental health professionals to get to a fairly stable point. I'm sure his parental and Finn issues were discussed. His stability was dependent on being no where near his hometown or the people therein. He was able to function and succeed in life because he pushed the pain to the back of his brain. His reactions were pretty much as I expected they would be. The pain of seeing his parents house completely unchanged other than evidence of his existence erased would be understandably traumatic. I think that Alec trying to get closure is a brave goal, but one he's not going to get through unscathed. Serious mental illness is not a disease that can be cured, it's more one that has to be managed.

Now I'm going to picture Dame Maggie Smith in my head when I read Sergey!

Sorry for the late comment, it's not a reflection of this complex chapter, but a casualty of several followed stories posted all at once. I read the chapter. I reread the last chapter. Then I read this again. So when Castle went back in time after the massacre and getting shot by Black, he was still shot. Does anyone but Black remember the massacre, Sergey?, Castle?, Meredith? How did Black go back in time? What happened in Black's life to make him hate himself so much? I'm kind of digging his "uniform".

It looks the planet will have 12 new inhabitants! I agree with @scrubber6620, they will have to unlearn a lot in order to survive. Hopefully Ned and others will be able to convince the earthlings that their planet is alive, it is not just a suitable replacement for earth.

I'm happy for Terry, Dan seems much more suited for him than Cliff. Dan appears to have had similar issues with his ex. As for the body, I thought the most important information from this chapter was the realization that all the listed people are still alive. He needs to discover the identity of a person they all knew who is not alive.

I loved everything about this chapter! A road trip can be a tight bonding experience, it sounds like a way to learn more about each other with built-in distractions.
