I read your father's story, very heartwarming. I believe we are now approaching the beginnings of the night shelter? The Simons in life serve to teach us what not to do and what is really important!

As an adult, John's response to his first wet dream seems an over-reaction, but anyone who has spent time around young teens, can tell you that extreme reactions are the norm. It's amazing the vast majority of us make it through the hormonal hell of puberty!

Hmmm, is this our John from The Boot? But then why would his "real name" be Christian, not the other way around? Or, is the young chauffeur our hero? Intriguing!

Chapter 19: Baltimore Business

Sorry, I meant to say that first, he should zip over to Alaska and catch a salmon for RJ. I have always wanted to go to Alaska! -

If I were Vincent, I would zip home and pick up my sweetie, drop him off in my bed, zip over to Maine, grab some lobster take-out, zip back to my hotel room, eat, then unzip! -

I look forward to the interview with Reardon, I wonder if Vincent will be able to keep quiet, and if Reardon will let him. I like RJ, in some ways he is the polar opposite of Vincent 😁. Sorry, I couldn't resist.- 29 comments

At least they are both talking, I'm not entirely sure they are doing much listening. Both are still stuck inside their own viewpoints and are having problems looking at the situation as a truly shared experience. But, it sounds like they finally have the same goal, so I'm hopeful. Alec made a huge step forward in tackling his mental health issues, most of the risks were made last chapter, but this chapter was about sticking to his decision and not letting himself spiral with negative thoughts.

I'm out. This just doesn't make any sense.

Sorry, I just can't get past the glaring continuity issues. It's as if the last book didn't take place at all! It's set 3 years after the last book ended (the prom was set in 2000), yet Peter is now 16???? Andrew doesn't seem to be a coach, Rajik and Farah are suddenly in the inner circle, and the engagement of Lisa and Jeff happened in 2000.

I got your back! And who says a zip line has to be longer than .2 acres? It's not the length that counts, it's the ride! Wait, what were we talking about?- 124 comments

The Truth in Loren's Eyes
CincyKris commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in The Truth in Loren's Eyes
We had camping at a small primitive campground in the hills of Kentucky with my dad's side of the family. Swimming in the river, running around with no adult supervision (the old cousins were responsible for keeping us alive). I can remember as clearly as if it were yesterday (instead of 40 years ago) a dozen of us cousins aged 8 to 15 sitting on old picnic tables drinking Dr. Peppers from 16 oz. bottles at dusk watching the bats fly around eating mosquitoes. I can smell the campfire and hear the river.- 124 comments

Wonderful chapter, just like the second to last act of a murder mystery. The last act will tell us the who's and why's. Just wish the end wasn't coming so soon! We all had Jenny pegged as a conspirator, but I would agree with @centexhairysubthat the lack of Trevor in this scene suggests he is down the well. Jenny certainty has turned the money pilfered from the cinema into a lot more. I wonder if Bob the Builder and Jenny are in cahoots? Will Jack's spirit get some rest?

JayLoe's new home even has a treehouse! Sounds perfect for cousin camp! I was seriously impressed with Loren's personal growth in this chapter.- 124 comments

I'm loving this couple! Bears and wolves and blowjobs, oh my! Keep it coming! -
I was originally on the "why does Alec have to be the one to sacrifice" side. I've decided that there shouldn't be a war between two sides. Just like in real life, relationships require both sides to sacrifice, if they want it to work. I agree that Alec needs to learn to live with his triggers, he kind of did that over the years in Washington. He can handle being touched now and he doesn't have a panic attack if he's around more than a hand full of people. He could do the same thing again in Iowa, it would just be a lot harder due to many more triggers. Does he want to change enough? Can he stop the negative and self destructive thoughts long enough to decide he is good enough to have a relationship? I hope so.

@drsawzallI had the same thought about the one who's named should not be spoken! Look at the good side, we get to relive his spectacular, fiery plunge! Nice to see the boys are handling their minor celebrity and getting plenty of food.

I think that Ases might be correct, the reactions of the Kardoval suggest that they are suspect. They were only concerned with criticizing Garjah and separating him from his mate, not with the welfare of their citizens. I also agree with Garjah, investigating with an open mind is the only way to not miss clues and suspects. When Garjah and Seedrah find the person(s) responsible for the launch, they can figure out who ordered it. I think Bouncer would be a great "bad cop" in an interrogation room!

I just stared at the screen in confusion for a few moments, then decided it was meant to be. Keep in mind that I'm not a superstitious person, or prone to "big brother" conspiracy theories, anymore than the average person. Perhaps you figured out how to get Jack's ghost to communicate through my kindle! 😱
