  1. Wow, James. I haven't seen these wonderful pictures for years and I've just bookmarked his web page - thank you. I looked through my stored treasures and found a book -The Flights of Icarus - edited by Roger and Martyn Dean and with several of his pics and a lot of other very imaginative graphical images.

    Chapter 1

Thanks,Lisa. I'm delighted to know you enjoyed the chapter. My plan is for Peter and Martin to add a bit of life to the story with their constant stirring of each other - lol - I hope the plan works. Ch 2 will be posted in either three or four days. Joel's friends - I think that the opportunity to make friends is one of the special things about campus life.

    Chapter 1

ONE SEMESTER. "How's it all going?" "Not too bad." "What did you think of orientation day yesterday?" "It was okay." "Last year they talked too much. That's what I thought anyway." Joel nodded his head in agreement. As a new student he'd been assigned a guide for the start of his course, and now after only five minutes he quite liked Morgan, who was friendly and easy to talk to. "Have you got a timetable yet?" "Yes. It's only temporary though." "Ha. They take ages. You’ll probably have

    One Semester.

Joel thinks he's going nowhere with his life and leaves his rural locality to try to acquire some qualifications.
  7. OMG! I used to work at the town where the film was shot. A poignant little film.
  8. Great to hear that you're recovering so well, Kitt. I have an outsiders understanding of what it must have been like because my sister is about to have her sixth chemo infusion for BC, and I know how much it's clobbering her. What a battle you've fought and won.
  9. A few more maths jokes. The 'B' in Beroit B Mandelbrot stands for 'Beroit B Mandelbrot'. (Not really a joke but still very clever.) Old mathemeticians never die - they just lose some of their functions. Can you find the volume of a pie with radius 'z' and thickness 'a'?
  10. Oh No! That's very disturbing news and a major setback to overcome. I sure hope the doctors find a straightforward solution to this situation which is potentially a life changer.

    Chapter 14.

Thanks Timothy. I love the octopus scene myself and in my own mind it's one I'm quite proud of.
  14. Doing up cars was never my kind of thing but it looks like being a big deal for the relationship - doing things together can be one of the joys of friendship. Lol - Way back in the dim past I remember seeing Rocky Horror live with the audience joining in and the cast mingling with the audience as part of the show. I'm anticipating an interesting night for the boys. I liked the mystery in the attic. My favorite image for this chapter is the joint currying of Gulliver
