My votes should count double. LOL

A delightful chapter, and a really good visit. I am glad that Annalisa has been able to make these steps. She will not let Miles push her around or poison the girls against Colin. Good for her. Connie may well be a harder nut to crack, but Owain is right, the secret is to keep the lines of communication open and stay firm in their ideas and place but be willing to meet her halfway. Allowing her to make suggestions about the garden and being willing to help out in hers is a great first step. She obviously is knowledgeable, and it is something she cares about. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Dashed bad luck that Calvert keeps surviving, he must be part cat. Granger has to find a way to keep his Majesties happy while making sure they are truly protected. While I doubt a French team could pull all off what Granger sees as the flaw in the protection of the King, even a serious attempt would damage a lot of lives. George truly does love Calvert, and Calvert seems to be able to keep George on a more even keel, but not sure that they could ever be truly happy if they were together all the time. Calvert is too insecure in some ways for George, and always finds a way to annoy him. Winkler is the person that truly cares more about Granger than I think anyone does. He doesn't love him, in the way that we would think, but he does love him with every fiber of his being. I don't think there is anything that he would not do for Granger.

Would not the CAP saga by Mark Arbour not fit the family saga?

Great chapter, I do feel that everything is moving forward with a speed that we don't recognize yet. I am glad that Michael is with the group for this phase but will be happy when he is back with his Orca friends on the coast. Causing the new security chief of this team to basically flee; is going to cause a whole level of what the hell to arise. Auntie feels something about Michael as well, I wonder what it is? Can't wait to see what happens next.

My Granny's favorite thing to say was, " You just can't fix stupid ". -
Let's don't go that far; I just have no life. LOL, plus I love them more than some of my real family. Hell, what I mean is I love them and JP more than almost all of my real family.

Chapter Twelve: Labirinthoset
centexhairysub commented on drown's story chapter in Chapter Twelve: Labirinthoset
What the hell. For something that started so promisingly; this chapter ended in death, and someone that I think was going to be pivotal to the coming battle. Yikes... -
What a delicious chapter, and I really like Jase and Monique. There wedding will be a blast, or half the guest will end up dead; either way, you will talk about it for years to come. We have not even really gotten to know Annalise, but I like her already. I have to wonder if perhaps she suspected about Colin all along and is now trying to repair the damage her husband has done. Owain will be there for Colin. But Colin will have to stand up for himself and continue to be who he wants to be.

OMG, I just love JJ. He and Will have such a tight relationship; even though they are really nothing like each other and occasionally fight like cats and dogs. Will is always able to help JJ get a better perspective on what is going on. And Will was right, Kris is treating JJ like he deserves to be treated. Hate that Kris has a family that is in such turmoil. Maybe JJ and his family can help Kris get ahead at work, or at least help him in some way. Of course, you know that Brad will freak at least at first over how fast JJ is moving with someone new; plus he will find something he doesn't like about Kris, maybe the fact that he has slept with two of his sons. LOL. I am not sure; but the deal with JJ and Susannah may not wend well. I don't think it will be a big blow out; but she strikes me as the kind to gal that will tell tales out of spite. We will see. Can't wait for the party. JJ and Kris will be looking good.

Interesting start to this story. Keith seems engaging and can't wait to see how this develops. Do we ever truly fully overcome our parents dictates? I would like to believe we do; but not truly sure. No matter what we learn, or where we go, I think there is a part of us that will always fall back to what was drilled into us as youngsters. We may learn to ignore it or channel it in a different direction, but it is still always there lurking.

I really like how this chapter played out. Joe is growing up and while his mother isn't onboard with all of his ideas, she at least is willing to try. Sounds like his father isn't. Two weeks with a 17-year-old, Owain has no idea what he is letting himself in for. LOL.

Vikings ships & nude beach
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Vikings ships & nude beach
I love museums. I think it is great that Joe has taken some interest in the family history. Neither Owain or his mother seems to care much about it; clearly a by product of how they were raised. -
You will learn more than you ever thought about someone while traveling with them.
-
Colin is discovering what it is like to have someone in his life that actually cares about what he is doing and what he likes.
-
Joe's picnic turned out to be a delight and such a nice surprise. Owain and Colin are starting to really come together. I do hate that Colin seems to have hidden so much of his life from others. Piggy sounds like an ass. I wonder if we will be seeing or hearing from him again.
-
Ah to be young and think anything is possible. Joe will learn, but experience is the best teacher, and it isn't always kind.

Sometimes we all need someone like Jase or Auntie Anne in our lives, or our families life.

Not according to plan
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Not according to plan
Everyone seems to be getting closer and learning more about each other. I keep waiting for a blow up. LOL I have to wonder what Joe is up to that has his mother bothered, is it actually something serious, or just something that she thinks is too frivolous. -
Nice weekend away; but way to much to bring back home. I swear stuff just multiplies in a storage shed. You think you put about ten boxes or stuff and suddenly you go and it is bursting from the seams.
-
All at your own pace. Colin has to decide how fast or slow he wants to take everything.
-
At least Owain is thinking about how to handle the money, when it gets there. So many people just never plan and suddenly they are in trouble.
-
I still get a funny feeling about Francis. I do like Jo though. And looking at the past, family or otherwise is always a rewarding experience. You may not always like what you find, but having an idea of where you come from can be great.

Family Life: pub lunch
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Family Life: pub lunch
A really nice getting to know you a bit more kind of lunch. -
Nice chapter, and for a first meeting with the family, seemed to go rather well.
