Summer vacation had started out well for Derry and Caleb. There was much to occupy two adventurous boys in the rural landscape in which they lived. They had the woods, and the fields, and the waterways to occupy them.

And they had each other.

But then they made a discovery - a strange place hidden in the forest, a pathway to lands beyond description. And suddenly, the summer was not quite so simple any longer.

When Dalton answers one question and his friend, co-worker, and room mate throws a drink over his head, his first thought should be to worry if one or other of them will be getting fired. But Dalton has more pressing questions to answer, like where he's going to sleep, and what the hell he did wrong.

Riley Gibson and Kyle Morgan are two people with a history. Fate brings them together after living some years away from each other. The boys come face to face in a beautiful place "Arkansas", however, happening to witness a devastating calamity ready to claim their lives. Will this be the end or will they discover their love all over again?

Mark is suddenly and unwillingly outed to his family. Running away from home a snowy night he ends up at his friend Leslies house. But this is just the beginning of a chain of events set in motion from his outing, some things will be bad and some good.

Ian Randolph carries a lot of baggage and isn't the nicest man around. Then all of a sudden the boy with the bluest eyes storms into his life and throws his world off balance. Ian slowly learns to love and Micheal learns that love in real life is much more difficult, cruel, and deceiving, than in his books. Can they dodge all the curve balls that are thrown at them and carve out the relationship they both want?

There is much to unearth from a person's past as you get to know them, especially if they have seen war, the edge of the known world, and lived a full life before you were even born.
And maybe there are different kinds of friendship.
