Chained, alone, in the dark. Hopeless, pain consumed and tired; so cold and tired

My first and for now, only attempt at Fantasy. It was before I really began reading YA Fantasy book series. I don't think it is a good example of what a Fantasy should be and it was supposed to have a lot of subsequent parts to it, but I decided to just complete the story as it was. It is about a group of warriors selected to save their Empress who was taken by her sister and her sister's lover. Once trusted advisers to the throne, now looking to usurp it.

A different understanding of the purpose of life and interaction with the beyond. This is a short novella.

Adam is a sixteen year old mage cast out from his village by a people sworn to hate and destroy all magic in the world. He is thrust into a world with people like him and has embraced magic as a good in the world. Now living in the city of Arantiva, he discovers that he is not truly happy until a boy much like him comes into his life. But with this chance meeting comes a web of secrets, lies, and prophecies that bind him and his new friend closer than he could have ever imagined...

In another world, legends merge with reality.

Is everything a choice? At what point do we decide it is a conscious decision? How do we tell the right from the wrong, when we could be just as confused as those we condemn? It is, of course, not everyday that we tell our brothers we love them. Under what obligation were we to love them anyway? This story follows the lives of two brothers, and how, in a confused moment, a catastrophe was born.

Peter Parker was just an average 16 year old, until one day when an unsuspecting bite from a spider changes his world completely and sets him on the path to becoming a superhero.
