Mark has a boring job to go with a boring life. Then one of his co-workers invites him out for a Friday night drink.

Sixteen year old Dale Hoffman, along with many of his fellow students, is taking by surprise when something happens at the college he attends. It causes him to reflect and think.

This story was written as an addition to the Sanitaria Springs series of stories. Those are stories written by Dabeagle and other authors who he invited to contribute. They are about events in the lives of several teen boys who live in the fictional town of Sanitaria Springs in New York State. The stories are interwoven and this particular story picks up on a character first met in a story titled 'Without A Trace.'

I do not think it is essential to read that story before reading this tale as I believe there is sufficient 'back story' here to enable this one to stand alone, but feel free to do so.

2006 Fall Anthology

Angst is defined as “an acute but unspecific feeling of anxiety; usually reserved for philosophical anxiety about the world or about personal freedom”
The poems here reflect feelings of unease, discontent and anxiety—some of the less comfortable things crawling around in my head.
