While digging through some boxes of Christmas stuff, I found this old poem that I wrote for my grandmother many years ago.

Alyea is a royal princess being forced into a marriage she doesn't want. Rather than follow the rules she strikes out on her own. Exactly what that means for her is a whole new life she never knew, and just possibly a chance at love.

Not all decisions made come out smelling like roses, or chocolate chip cookies, or a freshly sexed bedroom, or a recently mowed lawn, or laundry detergent, or your favorite cologne/perfume.

Eli is part of circle of friends whose lives are filled with unrequited love, first love-awkwardness and doubt. Can the second-love ever trump the first and is it ever fine to settle for what's convenient?

Alex and Zach meet while transfering into a new college as Juniors and quickly become best friends. Alex soon learns that he would like to become more than just friends with Zach, but will Zach's troubled past stand in their way.
