NaPoWriMo - 2017 - 9. April 9 : Scars for Life

Prompt : Scars
Tell the story of one of your own scars or a scar on someone you love. Alternatively, you might speak more generally about scars, or about what to focus on instead of scars

Scars for Life

Scars; they just don't leave marks.
They make impressions on memories
And holds mysterious emotions
Along with them; the pain.

Scars; they just don't give pain.
They give reasons to remember
And carry enormous puzzles
Along with them; the strength.

Scars; they just don't brace you.
They build up your self esteem
And or raze deprecation
Along with them; the prize.

Scars; they just don't teach you.
They mold you for better
And set some examples
Along with them; grant life.

A big thanks to Val for helping me by providing me the prompts. Thanks to all for reading, liking, and reviewing. All mistakes are surely mine.

I love the way you talk about the emotional aspects of scars and how, in the long run, they're better for one's character and one's self-esteem. The physical scars themselves don't matter; it's what's inside that always counts.

You are hundred percent right Lisa. It's always the inner strength that shows a man. Not his appearance. Not his physical scars. Thanks for the nice words about my poem. I appreciate it.

wow, I hope you don't mind me saying this, but what an advancement as a poet you've made since last April's collection. Not that there's anything lacking in those poems, but an example like this one just shines.

It's powerful, and it's composed with such a confident hand. wow :)

I am kissing my hand everytime I read your comment on my poem. And I am very glad you felt like that. It's not just me. You and others from here continuously supporting me a lot. I was a flat immature when I started to writing. But all the support and all of your suggestions made me learn a lot and may have resulted in good. Thanks for all the support and for the nice comments.
