Only Prompts - 32. Pt Prompt 214 Spring

This is in celebration of NaPoWriMo, which, as you may know, encourages you to write a poem daily. So, this was written and posted without days of thought or editing.
Thanks to @Valkyrie's Friday Poetry Prompt.

PT Prompt #214 - Poetry
Use spring as your springboard to start a poem. Embrace the fickleness of the season!

The prompt today is to write about spring
What a great idea
The noted months are fickle indeed
And I cannot think of a thing

Seems that I made a mistake
I might have an idea
Hopefully, it’s clearer than mud
Not sure of the form it will take

Springtime comes, but once a year
With a Jekyll and Hyde nature
Each day can bring something new
It will never settle down, I fear

One day brings chilling wind and snow
The next, the sun adorns us
Do I need umbrella or boots?
Oh, wear them all, as you never know

So there you have prompt two-fourteen
A short poem about the spring
Expect Sun, or snow, or rain and wind
And everything in between!

This is perfect for the spirit of NaPoWriMo.   Spring definitely brings all the weather, sometimes in the same day!  Thanks for taking on the prompt :)

Last week there were aconites and crocuses blooming in green grass. This morning, I went skiing under the stars. Your poem writes of this kind of experience perfectly.

Thank you, Valkyrie.  You're certainly right about our spring weather!  Today's a good example of that.

Crazy weather, indeed.  Nice quickie poem, shame the snow storm wasn't so quick.

Fortunately we don't see spring snow in this part of SC. Still, the weather has hit on most every other possibility.
