Thriller/Suspense Genre In Depth

Sub-genres of Thriller/suspense are similar to action/adventure in that they tend to focus on events and moving things along.  But where Action/adventure is focused more on fun/mystery, Thriller/Suspense is focused more on fear/horror. There tends to be a mystery element as well. Tends to have deeper engagement with the character to make you care if they survive. The Thriller sub-genres tend to be edge of your seat and villan driven. Suspense is more towards the mystery end of the spectrum.

Bonding, Backstory and Baggage (Thicker Than Water, Chapter 7)

So, Chapter 7.... As with most of the chapters I write, I'm never certain where the story is going until it's done.  I generally have clues as what each chapter should have in it, but often, turns are taken that I wasn't prepared for, and this chapter wasn't an exception. Up to this point, Bryan hasn't really been interested in Steve as a person.  He hasn't been rude to the man, but given Bryan's issues with father figures and relationship issues, I was prepared for this to be another

Childlike Simplicity

Nights like tonight make me miss things Stupid things Things that no one else would miss. The sound of distant traffic through open windows Sitting on old shag carpet Parents sitting on a well worn yellow couch with brown and orange lines Grandpa showing off his and grandmas new recliners at the center of the room Pictures all the way back to their childhoods on all of the old oak furniture. The high pitched whine of a CRT tv finally getting decent signal

Of Pride and Power Chapter 6 is Live

Chapter 6 This chapter explains a lot in terms of magic within this world but doesn't explain the reason behind it. It also expands upon Eli's abilities even further, he is not merely skilled at language and memory, but he actually has hidden knowledge based on interaction as well. Like Wikipedia, if you do not search for a subject, then you can't easily access that data. However, humans are not supposed to operate like that  (Spoiler Alert or False Herring  ) As for introducing Puck,
