Weekly Wrap Up!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Before we get to this week's wrap up, I'd like to look back at the poll from last week's. The winner for the next crossword topic is "Signature Authors". If you would like to send clues and answers, please feel free to PM them to Renee! Answers can consist of author names, story names, and character names. In the case of multiple clues with the same answer, I may choose to combine the clues and/or simply use one clue. Members have until March 1st to send me t

We're going to get right up into the wrap up this week, and guess what, we're even going to go backwards! Have you been looking for something new to read? Something short maybe? With the release of the 2015 Fall Anthology, you have 16 brand new stories to check out. If you check Thursday's blog entry, you'll find links to all of them. Don't forget to leave the authors a review to let them know how much you appreciate their work.   Have you thought about doing a story review for the blog? Maybe

Hope your weekend has been going well - mine started poorly due to allergies but major recovery today, so that's good.   We had some fantastic reviews and other material here in the news blog this week. On Monday, we got a great review of prolific Hosted Author Mark Arbour's Wars End. If you haven't checked out any of his work, this may be the one to try first!   Tuesday, I extended the conversation started the previous week, getting some additional input on this news blog. I really apprecia

Weekly Wrap Up (Dec. 22 - Dec. 28)

It appears that the holiday season is starting to wind down. So if you celebrated exchanging gifts, what did you get that made you the most happy? Myself, I got a PS4. Now I'm not an avid gamer at all, but I leaned towards the PS4 as I believe @Myr has an Xbox, and if I got one he would be CONSTANTLY bugging me to play with him in Dora the Explorer, Special Adventures So what did you actually get? I'm curious   Before I forget, I want to wish everyone, your family and friends all the

Weekly Wrap Up (Sept 22 - Sept 28)

Today is a day that I was not looking forward to If you look at the little pictures at the top of this blog, you will see who has posted in this blog, and how many times, I have been dreading this day for about six months, maybe more. I told Renee that it would be hard to surpass Trebs and move ahead of him on this blog. So who is Trebs? For those of you that have joined over the last five years here on GA, Trebs or Robert, was a Admin and on the board of CDEJR Services, he was

Renee has allowed me to learn how to do the Weekly Wrap Up this week as she will soon be taking some much deserved time off. Under her expert tutelage I hope I have done this right. Any errors are entirely my fault, but if you want to air your disappointments about my job, make sure to email Renee at renee@gayauthors.org.   Reminder: Today's reminder has a special meaning to a lot of us here at GA. Trebs would have turned 49 today if he was still with us . Once again we'd like to remind you

It was a big week here in the news blog. For those that missed it, we had 21 new stories posted as part of the Secret Santa Short Story Contest! We've only had a few votes come in so far, but don't worry, there's still plenty of time for you to get your vote in!!! Votes have to be in by 2:00 PM EST on the 23rd of December. There's lots of great stories, and picking a favorite might be hard, but you never know, the story you pick could have been written by one of your favorite authors.   Monda

Okay, so let me start out with a possible apology. I wrote the update earlier on and thought I saved it as a post dated blog. Wow! What a week it has been here at GA! For those who didn't know, on Thursday, the site moved to a new server! I'm sure I'm not alone in thanking those who worked on making the move go as seamlessly as possible. Hopefully the move to the new server will help keep the site from bogging down due to the high amount of traffic it gets during the day! While I know this is the "Weekly Wrap Up", I also wanted to give a heads up to look out for a new feature coming to the blog this upcoming week. I do

Renee is away for the weekend attending a wedding. Since she isn't here, you are all stuck with me. Let me say that for a small fee, I will be selling pictures of Renee in her Bridesmaid dress   On Monday for our Featured Story, it was for our Signature Author for the month of May, Krista. We had her 2008 Anthology "Finding Alex" featured. Suvitar wrote a great review of this story and I believe enticed a few of us to go back and read it for the first time or maybe the second or third times.
