First things first - announcements time!!!   Renee announced on the 20th of August that she is looking for theme suggestions for the 2013 GA Anthologies. If you have a suggestion for a theme, now is the time to let her know via the thread in the Anthology Forum. Suggestions will be taken until midnight (US Mountain Time) September 3rd and then this topic will be locked. Once all suggestions are in, a team will narrow it down to twenty themes for the GA Members to vote on. Why wait, get your su

I hope everyone has had a great week. Just a reminder that tomorrow, Monday the 30th will be the CSR Discussion for Roommates by Krista. If you haven't finished yet, there's still time so that you can come and ask Krista your questions at 8pm EDT. Now, let's see what happened in the GA News Blog during this past week.   Monday's featured story was Meta by JohnAR. If you haven't already, why not stop by and read the review provided by Timothy M.   Myr joined us at the blog on Tuesday with an

Once again from yours truly... a look back at this week on Gay Authors!   This week's blogs started with a review by Wicked Witch of The Rider's Pride by dkstories. This novel length story is a fanfiction of McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern stories. Dan did a great job creating a story in much the same manner of the original work; Wicked Witch called it a "superb piece of fanfiction". As a fan of the series since I was a girl, I have to agree!   Wednesday brought something a little differen

We had a great week and now it’s that time again to take a final look at what was included in the News Blog over the last week.   On Monday we featured a story by Hosted Author: Krista entitled “Are You Christian?”, reviewed by Zolia Lily. Hopefully it gave you a slight insight into this author's writing, and if you haven’t already, go check it out and leave Krista a review letting her know what you thought!   On Tuesday we had a very informative tip written by WatchPatRun on Online Safety.

Peek-a-boo! Ya, Renee was kind enough to allow me to do another Weekly Wrap Up while she is out of town. So let's look back on our week then. We started by looking at our Featured Story: Leopard Skin Cover by Signature Author Graeme. I was privileged to have been a beta reader for this great story and Wildone's review wonderfully captures the interest of this story.   Premium Tuesday gave us a look at Incomplete Recollections by Johnathan Colourfield, a part of the Summer Premium Anthology. Welcome to another look back at the week here on GA! Happy looong weekend to the USA'ers too.   Monday we featured TMmCallahan's Dust & Ash. Wicked Witch reviewed this truly wonderful, and looooooooooong story! lol. Trust me, you want to read this!   Wednesday we had the very sad news that a long term member of GA, NaperVic, passed away. A member from nearly the very beginning, Vic was always here to help others and touched many lives of members new and old. He was a mainstay in chat, w

Choices - our Summer anthology is LIVE! Go enjoy (after you read the rest of this post) ;-)   We started the week with Almost Home, by our Hosted (and very sexy) Author Shadowgod. This is one of Shadowgod's short stories, and Podiumdavis wrote a wonderful review of it.   In this week's Author Showcase, we also had great reviews of both Promising Author WrathOfMagneto's Three Hundred Years, as well as What Remains, by Author myself_i_must_remake.   Our Tuesday Toss-up gave us the first of a

The magic letter for the week is "c" - as in Cia and comicfan!   We started off with a wonderful review by joann414 of Cia's newest complete story: Burden of Secrets. As joann says about the story, "I was enthralled with the story from the get go. Cia writes in a way that always makes me take sides when it comes to her characters".   For Wednesday, we had a great blog article on "Leaving Reviews" - that I basically stole borrowed from comicfan. Based on the comments, looks like it was a grea

Well, our deadline for the big Novella Anthology "Secrets Can Kill" - has come and past. I can't wait until we all get to see what was submitted. I'm definitely looking forward to some new stories to read! AND - we have some new Anthology Announcements.   One of the joys of working on this daily GA News blog, is pulling out older stories that sometimes just don't get enough attention. We did that on Monday with Radiant Renee Stevens' review of Under the Mistletoe by Hosted Author DomLuka. This

So just in case you missed it GA underwent a Software upgrade on Saturday. So far I haven't noticed any differences but I'm sure that is a good thing . In case you did miss the announcements, Myr did put everything in a nice, neat, little blog:     Now let's look at the rest of the GA Blog for the week!   Monday, Cia lead us on the CSR Discussion Day:     Wednesday, was another addition of Guess Who? Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. Just a reminder that tomorrow is the CSR Discussion day of The Rainy Day by Graeme. Now, with that reminder, let's see what happened in the GA News Blog this last week.   For our featured story, Timothy M provided us with a review of Prophylaxis.   Wednesday, Cia took over the blog to discuss something that had once again struck the site: Plagiarism. Weekly Wrap Up (Nov 5 - 11)

Another week has passed here at the GA News Blog and in the true fashion of not having Renee here, I forgot to feature our Friday Weekly Prompts. Many of you got to see it, but apologies to you who did not. Luckily you can still see it here and participate during the week. Lots going on and lots of new chapters from our Signature/Promising and all authors on site as well!   On Monday,  Cia introduced us to the November Can't Stop Reading feature. This month it is @Graeme's Street Life.

First off, I want to give a big Thank You to Cia for handling the blog for me this week, much appreciated, but I'm back and we have a lot to look at. However, there's something that needs to be addressed before we look back at this week's postings. As many might remember, the authors here at Gay Authors reached a milestone of 100 Million words! To celebrate, we decided to run a couple of contests. Thank you to everyone who participated, but now it's time to announce the winners, you will be cont

Wow, it's been quite a while since I've done one of these, but @wildone asked if I could fill in this week, and I told him I'd give it my best. Between life with a little one, and many other things going on, I just want to give a huge Thank You to Steve for continuing to do the Weekly Wrap Up's for me!!!  Currently, it's getting our Christmas light show set up and ready to go by December 1st (have you ever tried to make 7 pvc stars and wrap them in lights?), among chasing a 16 month old Baby J a
