Weekly Wrap Up (Jan. 24 - Jan. 30)

So put up your hand if you have had a cold this year   To tell the truth, I don't get them that often, but this year wearing a mask and avoiding other people as much as I have, I never thought anything unusual about it. Then Thursday came . I woke up on Thursday AM and had a headache and stuffy nose. The headache seemed to be right in my sinuses. Not having any other symptoms other than the occasional cough, I didn't feel I was on the road to COVID. Thank god!! Well two days later, after lo

Or everyone can point them out and laugh at me   On Monday Cia was here to bring us the January Classic Author: If that wasn’t enough to entice you, how about checking out the January Classic Author Excerpt: Then on Thursday, Renee

Anthology Entry Revisited: The Teacup

I'm going to try a new feature. This year, each story will get it's own day, in the future, it will depend on how many entries we have for the previous years anthologies. Sometimes, there might have to be two entries for each of these blogs. Each of these blogs will begin with a reminder of the upcoming anthology, and then we'll take a brief look at one of the anthology entries from the previous year. So, let's get started!!! What does everything think of the new upgrade to GA? Myr and I were joking that the new font size was easier for us as we grow older Pretty soon, you might see this font which will be beneficial for both of us   Good Day Everyone! Now don't worry, I'm sure we will have virtual screens by the day that we need this, no monitors or physical screens any more. Hey, that might be a story idea  thinking how technology could improve older peoples lives. Now that I think of my dad trying to us

Okay all!!!!  I know I haven't been very active on the site for a while, and I appreciate the rest of the team, especially @wildone for helping get things done. Reviewers Needed - Short & Long term

As many of you know, we have an absolutely wonderful team of reviewers here at Gay Authors. The are the ones responsible for all the wonderful reviews you see at least once a month, sometimes twice! Sometimes real life gets in the way and our reviewers struggle to provide more than a couple of reviews a year. We're looking for some more reviewers to help us out! This is open to all GA members.  Can't commit to reviews on a regular basis? That's perfectly okay!  Maybe you've read an awe

Weekly Wrap Up (Jan. 03 - Jan. 09)

Please be forewarned!!! I'm on a staycation and I already did a deep clean on my condo today. So now I'm bored and have nothing to do as there is no traveling and such in my area of the world. So expect to see me creating havoc all over GA  I may be lurking around every corner, ready to pounce on the unsuspected people of GA. I will leave my calling card wherever I have been  . Be scared, be very scared   Now if you believe me,  I also have ocean front property in Arizona. Bought it unseen

Ask An Author 3.0 #1

Well, we didn't have any takers to take up Ask An Author, so with the start of the new year, I wanted to come up with a way to keep the Ask An Author feature alive. Since I'm the one who will be doing it, it needed to be something not too time consuming. Hopefully what I've come up with will work out well.  Instead of readers asking a single question and directing it to the author, I thought maybe we'd focus more on the story instead of the author. The way this will work is, the reader picks a s

December Classic Author Excerpt: Dare by Sara Alva

Monday I featured Sara Alva's short story, Dare. Did you read it? It's just 5k, a story of friends, fun... what more could you want to take a break from your life right now? A holiday time out, a reminder of summer to come if the cold is sapping you, or even just because those memories of carefree days can be so fun to head back to.  And that's just why I picked this excerpt. Did you ever play Truth or Dare? The swing is one thing... but were you ever this dumb?  Want to know what ha
