The magic letter for the week is "c" - as in Cia and comicfan!   We started off with a wonderful review by joann414 of Cia's newest complete story: Burden of Secrets. As joann says about the story, "I was enthralled with the story from the get go. Cia writes in a way that always makes me take sides when it comes to her characters".   For Wednesday, we had a great blog article on "Leaving Reviews" - that I basically stole borrowed from comicfan. Based on the comments, looks like it was a grea

I hope everybody has had a great week. It has been a very busy week here in the GA News blog. Don't forget there's only one week left before the CSR Discussion on "Roommates" by Krista, so if you haven't finished reading, you still have a little bit of time. Now, let's see what happened this week in the blog!   Our Monday feature took a look at Leaving Club Leo by long-time site member and author C James! If you haven't already read this story, then check out Monday's review and see if it's so

Congratulations comicfan on your new status!   Kids are back in school (or about to be) and I think that helped make Monday's Featured story feel even more relevant - The Paradox of Friendship by InTheMindofSunshine. Wicked Witch reviewed this truly wonderful, and looooooooooong story! lol. Trust me, you want to read this!   Wednesday we had the very sad news that a long term member of GA, NaperVic, passed away. A member from nearly the very beginning, Vic was always here to help others and touched many lives of members new and old. He was a mainstay in chat, w

I hope everyone had a great week! I think today I'm going to get right into the Wrap Up for the week.   Monday and Wednesday were all about K.C. and his story "A Grim Fairytale", which just so happens to be this month's Signature Author Background. On Monday, Cia wrote a review for the story and then on Wednesday she interviewed KC. If you haven't already checked them out, they're sitting there waiting.   Friday brought us a couple of new prompts from the prompt guru Comicfan. This week he g

Renee has allowed me to learn how to do the Weekly Wrap Up this week as she will soon be taking some much deserved time off. Under her expert tutelage I hope I have done this right. Any errors are entirely my fault, but if you want to air your disappointments about my job, make sure to email Renee at renee@gayauthors.org.   Reminder: Today's reminder has a special meaning to a lot of us here at GA. Trebs would have turned 49 today if he was still with us . Once again we'd like to remind you

If you haven't seen yet, Myr had a very important blog entry about GA Hosted Authors, eBooks and Fiction Stories, please take a moment and check it out. If you did see it, but didn't see his late posted note, I want to repeat what he said - this announcement does NOT mean that GA is switching to Pay only. GA will always have the majority of content free, as long as Myr runs it.   Also - we now have only 2 days left for our FALL Anthology entries. The "Friends and Enemies" anthology is due Sept

Wow! What a week it has been here at GA! For those who didn't know, on Thursday, the site moved to a new server! I'm sure I'm not alone in thanking those who worked on making the move go as seamlessly as possible. Hopefully the move to the new server will help keep the site from bogging down due to the high amount of traffic it gets during the day! While I know this is the "Weekly Wrap Up", I also wanted to give a heads up to look out for a new feature coming to the blog this upcoming week. I do
