January baby here. That makes me a Capricorn. I used to celebrate my birthday along with my grandma, whose birthday was the day after mine. We would get the whole family together for a big dinner at a teppanyaki restaurant. She passed away this summer, so I'm probably just going to do a quiet dinner with my parents or something. -
My birthday is in October too, but I’m a scorpion! -

My birthday was a few weeks ago and I'm a Virgo. -
My birthday is in June, and I'm a Gemini. I don't make a big deal about it, but I do like it to be acknowledged. I like to go out to dinner, although it's not always on my actual birthday. This year's bday kind of sucked, though, since I spent it super sick in the hospital Hopefully next year's will be better On another note, don't forget to post your links to your anthology stories, once they've been returned from the proof team. -
@wildone Don't think of them as birthdays per se but as celebrations of a trip around the sun. I've just celebrated my sixty-something trip around the sun in the last week. Like @chris191070 I am also considered to fall in with the Libra crowd (we are a hoot at parties). A good friend and his father took me out to lunch at the new Hawksmore ($$$$) restaurant in Boston. It's the British groups first restaurant in the U.S. and I enjoyed my meal very much. It was the first time I've had the pl -

How They Form Meandering: Rivers naturally form winding curves as water moves. Erosion and Deposition: Fast water wears away the outer banks (erosion), while slow water drops dirt and silt on the inner banks (deposition). The Cutoff: Over time, the loop gro -

My birthday is in October and I'm a Libra. -
To answer your question: my birthday is in August and I'm a Leo. Birthdays haven't been special or important to me since I turned legal. However, it has always been a big deal for relatives (Mother, Grandmothers, my kids), and that hasn't changed. I had an aunt who celebrated her 39th birthday every year for over 40 years - guess she was afraid of feeling old. To me, my reaction to when someone acknowledges my birthday is to say that "I'm surprised that I've survived another year, but that's -

In storytelling, a meander—the choice to deviate from the main, driving plot line to explore side quests, character histories, or atmospheric world-building—is essential for creating depth, realism, and emotional resonance. While a tight plot keeps an audience turning pages, deliberate wandering is what makes a fictional world feel alive and memorable. Why Meandering Matters in a Story: Deepens Character Development: When characters are not actively fleeing a villain or solving a my
