This is the End... Revisited!

We're back after a brief hiatus while the Poetry Anthology and Comicality Tribute were featured.  If you haven't had a chance to check them out, please do so!        @Aditus and I absolutely love everyone's enthusiasm for the new twists on the prompt blog.  Since we had so much participation the last time, we're going to put some limits in place to make the resulting story more manageable for us.   The idea is to write a story backwards.  I will provide the ending,

Author Guess Who #24

Oooooooo, baby! We are back with another round of GA's favorite blog game, Author Guess Who. Y'all know the drill. This month's mysterious author has answered a lovely list of questions, and it's your job to figure out who it is. So grab your magnifying glasses, put on an old fashioned detective hat, do a Sherlock Holmes impression, and get to work! Let's see what the anonymous author has to say... • • • • •   What sparked the writing fire? How did your author story begin?

May CSR Feature: The Answer by Wayne Gray

This month has featured quite a few stories already, with the Comicality Tribute Anthology, and I wanted to feature someone who isn't new to the site but who did write a story that I thought would have fit right into that theme as well. We have so many coming of age stories on GA where authors tackle those life changes that aren't easy regardless of what year or setting they occur in... just like The Answer by Wayne Gray. This slightly older story is a short story gem you should read and come ba

Weekly Wrap Up (Apr. 27 to May 3)

Let's throw things in the mixer and mix things up this week . Well not mix, but let's look at a mirror image of the past week.  Now for the big news this week, that many have been waiting for. In fact there would not be any GA if it wasn't for the guy that we are holding our annual Anthology for this week. A huge thank you to all the authors that contributed this year. Without you, his memory might fade away  . Make sure you stop by, read and leave a comment or two! He will be missed,

Comicality Tribute - Coming of Age - *Now Live*

Today is a bittersweet day, as we remember and pay tribute to a GA icon, @Comicality.  It's hard to believe it's been a year since he's been gone.  Today would have been Comsie's 50th birthday, so we thought it would be the perfect day to feature the tributes written by his friends and fellow GA authors.    Comsie was the first author to join GA, when Myr started the site back in 2002.  He garnered quite the following, and he gave back to the site in many ways - mentoring other a

What's Next?

We've already completed two events this year, Carlos Hazday's tribute and the Diversity Poetry Anthology.  Our third event, Coming of Age - A Tribute to Comicality, goes live tomorrow.  So, what's next on the radar?   Or, shall I say that @Cia has a secret  One of our most popular site events is the annual Secret Author contest, where stories are voted on without the readers knowing who wrote them.  Guessing who wrote what always creates great discussion!  Details should be coming soo

Sunburn anyone?  What is the rule #1 of when you have the first day above 20C/50F with the sun higher in the sky of Spring? Burn baby burn! I think not ! So, that kind of happened today and luckily it didn't really burn me, just a little bit of colour on my face, arms, and legs. In Canada, anything over 0C/32F is shorts weather, so normally I was shorting today . I did have an enjoyable 'me' day though. Got a massage, an adjustment (not on my attitude, you're out
