Okay, so I was saying to a ex GA'er friend that I had nothing to write about to start the Weekly Wrap Up and he suggested that I couldn't do that to you all So here is a look at what happened over the past week! Monday, it was CSR discussion day where Cia chatted with @northie Then on Wednesday, it was the first one of the month and the blog was turned over to Carlos:

Ask an Author 2.0 #24

In October 2017, @Renee Stevens resurrected the popular Ask an Author GA Blog. Two months later, I was entrusted with coordinating the monthly feature. Including this month’s entry, the blog has featured 119 responses by 66 different authors. I’ve been lucky with readers asking question and authors providing replies. Over the last 24 months I’ve been astounded by their generosity in answering whatever I asked of them. Only twice was my approach rebuffed for personal reasons.   AC’s pos

September CSR Discussion Day: Willpower by northie

How did the month end so fast? We've passed the equinox, the seasons are changing, and it's time to share your thoughts on northie's story, Willpower. How did you feel when you read it? Then check out some of northie's feelings, thoughts, and maybe a few things you didn't know. Like... Why was northie frustrated after finding GA? 😲 You'll have to read on to find out! Of course, make sure you share your thoughts on the story too!    Are you a person who makes their bed in the morning, o

Weekly Wrap Up (Sept 22 - Sept 28)

Today is a day that I was not looking forward to If you look at the little pictures at the top of this blog, you will see who has posted in this blog, and how many times, I have been dreading this day for about six months, maybe more. I told Renee that it would be hard to surpass Trebs and move ahead of him on this blog. So who is Trebs? For those of you that have joined over the last five years here on GA, Trebs or Robert, was a Admin and on the board of CDEJR Services, he was

First off my apology. I posted the blog and then forgot to post the prompts in the forum. D'oh! I went to look for those that might have done them and felt foolish. I promise they are up now and anyone who posts them, I will include with next week's prompts. Anyway, time for some new prompts. Prompt 786 - Creative Tag - First Line You watched as the water rushed into the cave as you tugged helplessly at the shackle on your arm; realizing high tide was starting to fill the spa

Announcement: 2020 Anthology Themes

Thank you to everyone who voted for the 2020 Anthology themes!  We had a lot of great themes to choose from this year, and after the first round of voting, we narrowed it down to 15 themes for the final vote. Of those 15, only 4 could be our themes for next years anthologies. This year, I didn't even need a tie breaker vote as the top four were very clear!  Before we get to those themes, let's have a quick reminder of the upcoming anthology! Now, let's see what the authors decided for

Weekly Wrap Up (Sept.15 - Sept 21)

So am I normal? Now before the usual peanut gallery jumps in with a resounding YES (or is that NO), let me explain. Today, for a Saturday I was bored. I played on the computer, I cleaned the condo, I took the car for a wash, and still was bored. So I flicked on the TV and started going through the hundreds of channels and nothing really appealed to me. Next I turned on Prime Video, nope, nothing caught my fancy. Then it was over to Netflix. Well they are featuring a movie that I have

There's a banner there if you want to download it and share it in your signature, maybe along with a link and promo to help fellow readers find the story? You never know what sort of gems the older stories are hiding! Clearly this emotional story fits in with the CSR story, Willpower, and that's what I chose to share this month because holding on to your memories and never knowing where life will take you and what choices

September Classic Author Feature: What Might Have Been by Luc

Oh, the summer has passed, yet another school year begins, and I'm forced to acknowledge that my children have grown older and made me older. It's so strange to watch them grow up and remember my own youth in contrast. We make memories, I try to help them make memories, but it's so true that you can't go back and you never know... what might have been. This is just one more of many amazing stories posted by the promoted authors who have been shifted to Classic author status that new site readers

So I was thinking this week . Does that make everyone cringe? Today when I wrote this up. it is the 14th, so just a reminder to you all that we are now 10 days from my birthday and tomorrow will be 3 months away from Christmas. Now I don't want all of you all to fret and worry over having to get me pressies for both celebrations in the next 3 months! I know you all were planning on spending at least $50 Canadian ($12.50 US) on each present, so why don't you combine the two and each of y

Weekly Wrap Up (Sept. 1 - Sept. 7)

The first week of September has arrived and things are a changing! I've notice a bit of a uptick in the forums and stories and also feeling a change in the weather and length of days. I never understood how people who live closer to the equator have little to no deviation in the length of days. Just seems strange to me . Then the further you go south or north towards the poles, you get longer days/shorter nights and visa versa as the equinoxes are reached. But then again, it would be strange to

Ask an Author 2.0 #23

Hi there!   Although I have a couple of questions and responses predating the ones in this issue, I felt these responses were time sensitive. The question came in soon after someone claimed Ask An Author only featured established, popular authors. Wrooong! The member who sent in in suggested asking it of newer authors and provided a short list of candidates.   Here’s the message I sent out:   In case you haven't come across it, the first Wednesday of every month I c
