I'm afraid my running days are over.  My  exercise program is comprised of a nice long walk while doing my grocery shopping or walking around a paved loop at the local park without falling over, since it isn't level and meanders over some rolling terrain.  I use my cane to keep upright and try not to trip anyone else on my way around the loop on those days when there are others there at the same time. 

I'm glad you got to spend some time with family and friends, even if you do have to waddle around until Christmas.  Hell, get yourself a Santa suit 🎅 and you may be able to pick up some additional income, and then after Christmas you can volunteer to help shovel driveways and sidewalks ❄️ ☃️🌨️ until you've worked of the excess baggage, err I mean pounds or kg.    

Btw, the only reason I'm still up is I thought I'd wait for Myr to post today's Word of the Day  before I turned in but I'm just about ready to call it quits and turn in anyway, because it's usually posted between 5:00 and 5:30 eastern time and it's now 5:50.  Must be he's sleeping in this morning, so I'll bid you all goodnight, or good morning, and try to get some sleep.  Adieu.

Five and a half years into retirement, and I'm walking four miles a day in the morning, starting between 5:30 and 6 AM.

Our power company has been 'forced' into maintenance along the powerlines along our streets and has left me a couple of seasons of wood for my wood stove. A couple of hours a day with the chainsaw and the log splitter help me in trimming my waistline as well! Let's not forget the stacking of the wood!

Our spring was unbelievably wet, and then zippo here in Central Mass. We could use some soon!!

My running days were over before they started, I don't have the knees for it.  I exercise regularly through low impact cardio and weight training.  I recently had to take a break due to an injury, but slowly getting back into my routine.   

And like @Valkyrie said, we'll gladly take some rain.

Hmm... I'll take my chances and just point and laugh at you like I always do.  

We had a record amount of rainfall in the Spring and Early summer. Then by the time my garden got to the flowering and fruiting stage... nothing and it stunted and ruined it.  We were in drought conditions, we still marginally are.

I try to stay active, light weight training, some jogging, and general exercise. My Volleyball and basketball years in my youth is starting to be felt in my knees. Especially the one I tore my ACL in. So I know if I don't keep up with the exercises, stretching, and such that it will get worse.

Got seven so feeling AWESOME 🤩 ha, ha.   After red alert this week we have another four-day front arriving v soon.   As our farmers/market gardeners grow 3-4 crops a year, any uncontrolled rain is a disaster.   Irrigation is by channels first established by the Arab invaders 1500 yrs ago.  Amazing.

35°C ( 95°F) here on Friday. This is crazy.  The fields around us are still flooded, there is a forecast of a four-day front on its way and, of course, there is no problem globally…. and we get sunburnt in October.

Oh I already know I'm far worse than 80% of my patients about all this listening and doing business.  

Well, you can't ask a gentlemen his age, especially if said gentlemen is in the 5th decade of his life! As for, keeping fit, I am a warrior! An office warrior!

Just booked a three night jaunt to mountains 100km away.  I could get used to this retirement lark!
