What do you think of the new logo?

The Domoholics part is great. I'm not so sure about adding the word anonymous.

We are not gathered here to support one another around weaning ourselves off of Dom's stories. In fact, the opposite is really our purpose.

It is my view that using the full name is disrepectful to AA. I strongly believe that AA will be remembered in history as one of the greatest accomplishments of the 20th century in terms of addressing the human condition. Suffice it to say that this program has helped a whole lot of people and a whole lot of families.

My mother, the youngest of 7 children, was raised in a family with an alcoholic father , 2 alcoholic brothers and 3 alcoholic sisters - all of whom died far too young due to their disease. My mom somehow escaped the disease - she just refused to drink - but, as you all know, she did not come out of this family unscathed.

I don't want to make a big deal out of this because I know there is absolutely no intention on anyone's part to be disrespectful.

So how about just Domoholics or Domoholics r Us or whatever.

Hugs,

Conner

Oh come on. Disrespectful to AA? Their success and programs have spawned many similar types of programs to use the term "anonymous" after their names, and you'll note that imitation is the highest form of flattery.

In any event, most of us on here, and on the net in general, are "anonymous", and we are here because we are domaholics (obsessed with the story). I'm stunned that you would find something so accurate as being inappropriate.

I like it how it is right now it would sound weird just 'domaholics'

i think we should stick with this because it looks good and i think the mods are starting to feel like our personal decorators. :P

I agree with JC and love the current banner/color scheme.

Thanks,

P.S. - We just moved into a new house and have a couple of 'plain rooms', they sure could use a visit from Myr! Looking for something FABULOUS, but not too gay :P

And you don't want to decorate them yourself? I can't wait til my bf and I move into somewhere we can decorate...well, that I can decorate. Then again, I do seem to be channeling the spirit of a happy 1950's house wife lately. *blush*

What? Do you clean house wearing pearls and high heels ala Donna Reed?

I thought that was June Cleaver?

In any event, I'm not sure about the heels, but I'm guessing he likes wearing a pearl necklace. :D

Haha, heels...no, although I have been known to wear an apron (I can be pretty clumsy so am likely to spill things on occasion).

And I'm far far too innocent to possibly know what you mean Mark 0:) or at least I blush far to easily to confirm or deny that, lol :D

Liar liar pants on fire.

:o I am shocked by that accusation, I'll have you know that I'm as pure as the cold driven snow 0:):D ...well, no one here can prove otherwise really, lol.

Ben,

Please don't make me pull up some of your drunken posts around your birthday. I think we still have them at the old place.

*Ahem* my drunkeness proves nothing, lol.

While your drunkeness in itself doesn't prove anything, let's just say besides your b*tt cheeks being loose that night, your lips were sinking ships too. :P

You were blabbing all kinds of things that don't present an image of virtue that you are trying to project now :lmao:

Oh dear...I can't remember what I said, maybe I should go and reread...

Ok, I made a post here this morning. It's been removed. Would anyone care to say why?

I know at one point this morning, when I tried to get to the website, I got a raw directory listing instead... They might have had to rebuild the board/forums...

Ben, pay him no attention :D . Your birthday posts were totally wonderful.

Kitty

Ben..I totally agree..they were AWESOME and ROCKED big time..and were totally cool..funny, even coherent given your state of having enjoyed Birthday fun.....and they were sooo soo humorous....I say others wish they had as much fun......and we all wished we could be there over the Pond with you enjoying the Birthday Bash.......as Kitty said, they were totally wonderful and tickled our fancy...you even taught me a new fact..that vodka does go with Rainbow Jelly Beans...hee hee:)

Rainbow Hugs and Hershey Kisses and Rainbow Jelly Beans from this side of the Pond....it must be the, pardon the puns....and buns, the Puritans who are now fretting about Ivory snow purity....hee hee....they need to get some Rainbow Snuggle time, but I am sure they are just teasing......you are our Rainbow Sunshine from cheery England:)

In any event, given the number of votes cast so far, there is decidedly little interest in the logo anyway.

Conner

True, but those who took the time to vote seem pretty sold on the new look. I think there was only 1 "no" vote.
