Don't ask a question if you don't want the answer  :D

I've got one, I've got one...<waves hand furiously>

What's the speed of dark??

Sharon

When I walk ~3-4 miles per hour

When I ride in a car, anywhere from 0-120 mph,

Airplanes are much faster

Edit: I feel remiss for my glib explanation, therefor I should clarify.

'dark' much like cold is a privational state, that is, it is defined by the absence of something that is measureable and quantifiable, but in and of itself is not measurable. Thus, a room is not dark (not even a darkroom) but is without (or with little) light. It is never cold outside, it merely lacks sufficient random thermal motion (heat) to prevent significant heat loss (transfer) from your body to the ambient air. You can dsicuss 'cooling' as a negative heat flow or darkening as a diminishing of light energy, but as a privational state, the 'dark' does not have a speed except for that of the receeding light. Assumig that there is no light source to add light to the mix, then the rate at which the light leaves (in vacuum) is the speed of light.
